Lovely!!

Posted 13-Dec-2017
Pros: It's ethos and atmosphere
Cons: more drawers in our room
We only had a one night stay. but we left the hotel with a wish to go back and enjoy more of its facilities and atmosphere. Everything about the hotel was excellent, friendly and efficient staff, beautiful surroundings and a calming atmosphere. It was PERFECT!!

Beautiful room and lovely staff

Posted 11-Dec-2017
My partner and I stayed in the master double on Saturday 09/12 and I have to say this was the best hotel I’ve stayed in for a long time. The staff were warming , the room was huge with a beautiful bath and even the little extras such as homemade biscuits were wonderful. Definitely would recommend this to my family and friends!

Pros: Its environmental credentials.
Overnight stay to avoid need for taxi home after the tasting menu. Complementary upgrade included. Food interesting and verging on excellent.

Great Hotel in a great location

Posted 05-Dec-2017
Pros: I love the location of the hotel, the hotel staff who were very helpful and the quirkiness of the hotel.
Cons: It would be great if hair conditioning was added to the rooms as the heat was a little too much at night time.
Location: The hotel is a couple of minutes away from the sea, walking distance from the city centre and there are tons of shops to visit nearby.
The hotel is a very beautiful, quirky and eco-friendly hotel located in a prime location that makes walking or accessing attractions easy. There was enough parking around the grounds on arrival. Right from arriving at the hotel, the reception staff were very friendly, there was an introduction to our rooms and the green ethos of the hotel. The rooms were roomy, clean, without any musty smells and the amenities were great. The bathroom was very modern and the hotel was generous with room supplies. The were options for ambience lighting, free wi-fi and a TV in the room. Although the room had regulated heating, it was difficult to control the temperature at night when it became too warm. Opening the windows solved this the second night. The food was also good at the Arbour restaurant which came as complimentary breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for a weekend getaway for an affordable, quiet and semi-luxurious hotel getaway.

Nice hotel, but not worth the price

Posted 31-Oct-2017
Lovely hotel, near the beach. Although the hotel was lovely, looks out dated from outside, rooms veg nice but not large enough. Don't think was worth the money we paid for it.

Great hotel

Smart decoration, great staff, good room amenities, nice garden and parking and reasonably priced. English breakfast was way above average. Only slight area for improvement - food smell (old cooking oil) in lobby and on stairwell - this could easily be solved with a quality air freshener

Disappointed !!!!

Posted 13-Oct-2017 on Hotels
We were disappointed after a previous very good stay, the hotel was looking a bit 'tired'. The duvet cover was torn bed linen hadn't seen an iron and the bed needed remaking. the window in our room rattled in the wind and had to be jammed with cardboard. Functions going on made it noisy. Having one draft bitter that run out on the first day 2 foreign lagers and a draft cider does not constitute a well stocked bar. The food was just ok had better breakfasts in a Premier Inn. Having come away for a couple of days as I had just retired was quite disappointed and certainly not worth the money paid.

Gem of a hotel

Quiet location but very close to amenities and beach. Amazing food, we are vegans and we're spoilt rotten, including a vegan afternoon tea.
