Nice views

Posted 07-Dec-2016
Pros: Views of the sea and beach
Cons: Needs some investment in room decor and electrics
Location: n/a
Electrical problems meant that the lights and power points in our room didn't all work. Decor is rather old fashioned. Bathroom fittings are dated and work poorly. Third floor rooms are not accessible by lift.

Lovely view of the sea

Posted 05-Dec-2016
Pros: Clean hotel with a nice view
Cons: Food and menu of the restaurant. We did not feel the sense of excitement when choosing the food.
Location: Beautiful seaside by the hotel and the surrounding is nice too.
Nice place to stay. We stayed in winter and enjoyed our stay. Most of all the stuff are very courteous and helpful. There were a couple of things that I would've improved but overall a nice to stay.

It was great place to stay.

Posted 30-Nov-2016
Pros: View from our room was absolutely fantastic.
Cons: WiFi connectivity in our room. I needed to stand next to front door otherwise no connection......
Location: Tank Museum, Monkey world, Poole pottery.
It was really great place to stay around Bournemouth Poole area. Room was very clean, all staff are friendly and helpful. We have had difficulty to connect WiFi in our room, this needs to be improved. Although the poor connectivity of WiFi, we have had great time on our holiday.

Pros: Everything.
Location: Very convenient position, close to Sandbanks ferry and Poole town centre.
We last stayed here over 40 years ago with our young family. Much has changed but it is still a very comfortable hotel in a great position with views over Poole Harbour.

Beach hotel

Posted 31-Oct-2016
Pros: The stunning view of the beach from our larger than normal bedroom was amazing!
Cons: The rooms and bathrooms are tired, the hotel generally dated.
Location: The location is superb for the beach walking and watersports. Close to your choice of Dorset coastline!

the inside belies the outside.

on approach, the hotel is not in the best of state , with flaking paintwork & a huge skip of doscarded chairs etc below and also the waste bins noin discreetly placed. However from the inside..everything is excellent. we stayed in the deluxe room with balcony and sea view. Again..unfortunately, we were pretty much above the large skip, so the view below was poor ..but obvoiously the look out to sandbanks literally across the road was wonderful . The room itself was excellent, can't l knock it.

A very relaxing few days in Sandbanks

Posted 26-Sep-2016
Pros: We loved the location and the sea views. We also liked the excellent service at both breakfast and dinner.
Cons: One or two parts of the hotel are starting to show their age but there was nothing of any real significance
Location: A large area of Dorset is easily accessible from Sandbanks/Poole. There are a number of National Trust properties within less than a 1 hour drive.
The best thing about the hotel is undoubtedly its location. It is virtually on the beach and has sea views from rooms at the rear and harbour views from rooms at the front. We chose this hotel because my wife currently has limited mobility and wanted a room with a sea view and a balcony. What the Sandbanks Hotel provided suited us ideally. The staff were, without exception, very friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was good and the service excellent. The hotel is 'getting on in years' and is showing its age very slightly but in no way did this detract from our enjoyable 6 night stay. We will certainly return in the future and will have no hesitation about recommending it to friends,.
