Very Nice Hotel with good Restaraunt

Nice Hotel, much better than the other write ups portray. Lovely room overlooking the harbour, food in restaurant was excellent. Very young staff at breakfast who I though coped very well with the busy service. Not much to do within walking distance so car required. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Our night in Poole Harbour Hotel

Posted 31-May-2016 on Hotels
Unfortunately our room was right a noisy machine that was running all night. The room overlooke some sort of balcony which had wires all over it!! Thank goodness we were there for only one night and we arrived late. I thought I would sleep but sadly I didn't. I had two flat pads masquerading as pillow and a extremely cheap rubbishy mattress!! On the plus side the bathroom was clean and pleasant although basic with lashings of hot water. The soak helped eliminate all my aches and pains from the bed. Lovely surprise at breakfast that was definitely 5*. Freshly cut and prepared fruit, juices, yoghurts available and a varied breakfast menu which was cooked brilliantly. The first time I have had decent cooked mushrooms for ages!! Chatted to other visitors who has brilliant rooms with views also the dining room had lovely harbour views.

Loo with a view

Posted 13-Sep-2015
Pros: The views, and staff.
Cons: Bathroom could do with being updated.
Nice hotel tucked away down a quite side street. Over looking marina, and Poole harbour. Helpful, and polite staff. Clean, and tidy room. With a great view across the harbour. (Even from the bathroom). I would recommend the Full English breakfast.

Väldigt högljudd pub i omedelbar anslutning till restaurangen. Helt ok frukost, men trist, ej prisvärd mat på restaurangen.

great view but that's about it

Posted 11-May-2015
Pros: The location was great with stunning views across the harbour to Brownsie island and over the boats docked in the mornings, a lovely patio and garden
Cons: THE BEDS!
Location: not far from the beach or the town just a short drive
The reception was manned by a sweet young lady who inform us even though we had paid before we arrived we still had to give our card over so that they could guarantee payment and to see the man on the next day about it! We were given the room key and told were it was in the hotel. No one offered to carry our bags even though there was staff standing around. I had seen a poster advertising the evenings events and enquired if we would be far enough away from the music to which I was informed yes. This was not the case as we found out later when we returned to the hotel after visiting friends we were clearly able to here the mashing of the music masters selection for the party goers entertainment every times someone opened the door to leave or join the party. Other floors of the hotel had an additional door to go though that would have muffled the sound but not for our rooms floor that were round a corner on the corridor just off the stairs well. Which was convenient for the cleaners who in the morning left all their cleaning equipment vacuums cleaners black bag with rubbish extra outside our room. So nice . Our room was on the first floor overlooking the car park and boat yard. With the gentle hum of the cooling system on the roof next to us. The room was clean we knew this because they left the bottle of “Flash Bathroom Spray” on the side in the bathroom. The curtains had been laundered recently you could tell this as the creases hadn’t fallen out or been ironed as they were
