So you get what you pay for. Take ear plugs.

Pros: Clean and friendly staff
Cons: Thin walls
Location: 10/15 minute walk to center
The room was clean and a bargin. I stayed after a night out in Bournemouth, But the other guests in the hotel also got a bargin and also stayed after a night out. So I spent most of the night listening to drunk people walking up and down the stairs and shouting. So note to anyone staying in this hotel. Take ear plugs, the walls are thin

Pleasant personal experience

Posted 15-Oct-2016
Pros: helpfull staff
Cons: poor Wifi
Location: Good location in walking distance to the sea.
We booked a last minute double room and got an en-suite twin room on the ground floor at the back of the building, which turned out to be much more modern than some other rooms we booked before in the same hotel. The following night I wanted to book a single room and hotel staff was very helpfull and gave me one of the nicer rooms on the first floor for a bargain. From experience I know that you could also get rooms which are very old fashioned, with dated furniture and ugly carpets and in urgent need for refurbishment! A real drawback in this hotel is the poor Wifi connection, you only have it very near the reception.

Location: Fair walk into town but plenty of taxis and buses
Don't let the flaking paint on some of the window frames put you off, if you need a good value hotel with a comfortable bed and pleasant staff you won't go far wrong here.

Close to beach nice walk

Posted 27-Sep-2016
Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable but furniture is outdated and tatty but that did not bother us. The food was not great and thought it was expensive for what was served.

Quirky old hotel with excellent staff

Posted 04-Sep-2016 on Hotels
A little bit lime Fawty Towers but in an endearing way. All staff were exceptional - friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help us when needed. Excellent location close to beach and the main "bar strip". Lovely old building. Not it hasn't got all the mod cons and our room had one of those old tvs with the big backs that you need binoculars to see, but it did the job and the beds were really comfy. I would say they need to invest in more plugs and bathroom extraction fans (when no windows) before they start renovating the rooms though as that's more important. Lovely quirky hotel with excellent staff. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed.

Parked out

Posted 26-Aug-2016 on Hotels
Very very basic room never again would I stay in a room like this again also I paid for the car park it's a pity I couldn't park my car in it on Wednesday evening 24th August, vans taking two spaces is no help so don't charge when you can't park never again.
