Hotel Mondi is a great hotel located in a beautiful setting on Grundel See. The restaurant offers great meal meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A wonderful option if you're visiting this area.

All the staff were very helpful and pleasant, the view is absolutely beautiful. The only downside of the property is lack of parking, it was often hard to find a parking spot.

Amazing property with a beautiful view. I highly recommend this for family traveling with the young kids. Anne was the receptionist and she was very helpful answering any questions we had.

Location is excellent. Rooms clean, comfortable. Staff very frienly. I can recommend to everybody to stay in Mondi in Grundlsee. Breakfast great. One thing where restaurant can improve is menu. The menu was the same the whole week.

could have been so much better
The hotel is in a wonderfall location and this is the strong side of it. from here there's a downfall regarding other aspects of the stay. the breakfast is okay. eating in the balcony with the lake in the view is really great. the service is not very friendly. no help was offered regarding things to do. the room was cleaned once during the 5 days stay. the room is outdated. beds are not the most comfortable. we got a second floor mini apartment - not convenient with the luggage, and way more expensive then a regular room (why wasnt that offered at the order time?) no one is smiling to you. the atmosphere from the staff was not very pleasant. all in all, a not so well managed and maintained property, in a lovely location

Amazing place to stay in beautiful Lake District. The facility is simply superb & great for chilling out. Everything is excellent. The downside is their lack of flexibility in service - While checking in I was told that room will be serviced only once in 3 days - fine for us, but I had asked if the towels would be replaced when needed - The answer was 'yes' - But when I actually asked, I was told that the towels get replaced only on Tuesdays - We were lucky that it was Tuesday. May be it was just me but I found couple of ladies on reception a bit stern on phone when I had something to ask - A bit of smile & friendly voice would add into customer satisfaction. Bu no complaints - It was excellent stay.

The hotel is nice & the lake is amazing but... it depends where your room is, because of the noice (if there is a party and you didn’t know it in advance) or people sitting outside late at night, or people walking near your room. Pity that only once in 3 days they clean the rooms. The breakfast is fantastic and the staff is nice. With all what I wrote, we loved the hotel.

Although in a beautiful setting, everything is extra and there is no boating available as it appears in the picture. Quite expensive for what you get.

An incredible place! If you want a quieter place to stay than Hallstatt, this is the place. Reserve a lake view room and you will not regret. Breakfast is very good. The only thing that could have made it better is to have air conditioned rooms, other than that it was perfect!

We had a mixed experience here. The hotel is situated in a breathtaking location, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the Grundlsee. However, our stay was very much disturbed by the construction on the property which we do not feel we were adequately warned about prior to booking or arrival. We were initially put in a room directly overlooking the construction. When we asked to move, there was a bit of back and forth, as if we were being unreasonable to ask for a quieter room when traveling with a young toddler. Finally we were offered another room but had to move all of our bags ourselves. The new room was far superior in terms of location, but overall the condition of all the room could use improvement. They have clearly not been updated for some time, and while everything was properly clean, it was worn and dated. On the positive side, the general hotel facilities (lobby, restaurant, pool, etc) seemed much more updated. The food was excellent and the pool was very nice. Overall I don't think we'd go back, as we expected a bit more luxury for the price we paid.

Breath-taking
About 30 mins drive from Hallstatt. We weren't able to find a room in Hallstatt so chose this place by chance and it turned out to be the most favorite place during out trip. The hotel is up the hill but there are villages nearby. Very nice little towns to get anything that you'd need. The scenic view was breath-taking. Breakfast was great with variety of choice. On that day there happened to be a few travel groups so we were asked to sit a little bit inside; not by the window which we could enjoy the lake view. But other that these few little details, it's a great place to recharge your battery

One of the best in Salzkammer Gut!
Amazing hotel. Fantastic breakfast. Lots of hiking trails and things to see and do. Check out Bad Audrey for a little shopping. Several good restaurants in the area.

Amazing location right by the lake. Service is outstanding, really enjoyed the facility like swimming pool and sauna. The resting area overseas the lake, really really beautiful. The breakfast buffet is probably one of the best I had in the past two years. Really enjoyed my stay, and I wish I could stay for couple more days...

On the way to the hotel at night, I regretted to make a reservation this place but next day I had no doubt to reserve there. I had a great time having a breakfast at the restaurant, playing at the kids club room and taking bicycle around the lake. The condition of room and the restroom is a little old and uncomfortable.

Renovated restaurant, forgotten run-down rooms
Grundlsee is so beautiful, as is the restaurant(s) on this property. However, our room was out-dated and terribly uncomfortable with an unnecessary kitchen unit next to the bed and very old nasty carpeting. The bathroom was so tiny, it was terribly inconvenient. It seems they have put a lot of money and time into renovating the restaurant -- successfully -- but they need to give the same effort to the guest rooms.

Adorable Mountain Resort
This place was such a nice surprise. Cute little mountain town on the lake about 40 min from Hallstatt. The staff was wonderful, food was excellent and reasonably priced, as were wine and beer. They have an awesome pool, and games such as pool table. ping pong, etc. Perfect getaway retreat spot. & The breakfast was the best we had on our entire trip
