This hotel was nothing short of amazing. We were treated like royalty and I honestly could not find a fault with this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning on staying at a central location in Beijing.
Our room was wonderful and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was a great place to land after long days of touring. The staff was open about how best to navigate and what to see around Beijing. They coordinated taxis and a car trip to the Mutianyu wall that we will not forget and were always on hand when we needed suggestions. Great location, great place and terrific staff!

The Hotel was quite large and plush. Our room was lovely and quite big as well. It was great that we could actually open a window. Everything about our room was wonderful; the bathroom was very roomy and the bath salts were a nice addition and were used after a very long day of walking. The bed was really comfortable and we slept well.
The hotel is dated, but the location is hard to beat. Right outside the front door is an entrance to subway Line 2, which is the central line that connects to all the others. The whole city is at your doorstep. There isn't much to do right nearby, but it's quiet at night, and you can walk to Sanlutin, which does have places to shop, eat, and drink. The airport express train is one subway stop away. The hotel needs a renovation. It's well-maintained, just very dated. The room bathrooms in particular look like they're from the 70s or early 80s. The beds are very firm. There is a mini-bar and a serviceable (but not great) lounge downstairs. Stay here for the location and price.
An historical district, Dongcheng is home to a concentration of major sights and treasures including Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City (Palace Museum). To the south, discover Wangfujing Street, a famous shopping boulevard that sees mostly foot traffic only. Here, more than 200 old Beijing brands still reign supreme including the Wuyutai Tea House and Shengxifu hat store.
