This hotel offered the whole package. Nice rooms, great and flexible staff and very interesting decor. Entertainment great. I EVEN GOT A GO AT THE GRANT PIANO IN THE BAR.

Good central location and good value hotel.

Pros: Great location. Great food. Good value for money. Free car parking. Good customer serice in restaurant.
Cons: Housekeeping in room. Better condition of furniture.
Location: Fantastic central location. Lots of lovely places to eat all around the hotel. Some lovely gift shops + large retal park nearby which has a cinema.
Spent two days at Gallaghers Hotel over the Easter period. The Hotel was easy to find, as it is in the centre of Letterkenny. They have a car park at the back of the hotel where you can park your car, which is free and secure. The staff where friendly on arrival and gave us our room, even though we arrived a little early, which was a nice touch. First impressions of our room where a little disappointing as some of the furniture was chipped and the carpet needed to be hoovered, as there was thick dust around the skirting board beside the dressing table. One of the plates in the tea service was discoloured with a brown tea stain and the grouting round the shower area was yellow. These small details may seem petty, but they make all the difference in having a great customer experience. On the plus side, the beds where very clean and extremely comfortable. On the Thursday night of our stay they had a special offer on in the restaurant of 10oz steaks for two for 25 euros, so we decided to try it out. We hadn't booked a table and where disappointed when we where told they where full up, but the staff where great and found us an extra table to fit us in and we where not dissapointed as the steaks where to die for. They where the nicest steaks we have had in a long time and would highly recommend them. To sum up, even though there where small issues, we would defnitely return to stay again as we found the hotel good value for money and in a good location. Top tip: try out the steaks

Nice hotel very central.

Pros: Very central polite staff and great food.
Cons: Probably lift service but because of the hote built on hill would be impossible
Location: Great location and lots to see about area if you want to go out and about
Great hotel lovely food. Only thing if you are on 3rd/4th floor you have to take lift to 2nd floor get out walk across corridor get another lift to take you on up. So if you were not good on your feet can be bit of struggle. Probably down to hotel built on hill.

Great staff, average hotel

Posted 08-Mar-2016
Pros: Staff, food,
Cons: Monitoring unruly guests and chucking them out!
Easy booking and adequate room for the price. The parking is tricky as cramped and difficult to negotiate but it is free! The welcome is genuine and all the staff we encountered were friendly and keen to please. We ate in the bar and the food was well priced and tasty. The lobby would be more comfortable if there was some way of keeping it warm. The door opens onto the street so bit chilly to relax. Our only gripe was the noise of guests during the night. I always find this a tricky issue as part of it is inadequate sound proofing and the rest is down to lack of consideration for others by selfish guests. We had a group of young males who played loud music, stood in the hall between our rooms swearing loudly and slammed the door more than 25 times between midnight and 4am - yes I was counting! The night porter did come at our request but was not saying anything to make a difference. The problem was that the noise came and went depending so was hard to catch them at it. It did however ruin our night. The check out staff were concerned and gave us a 20% discount but I would rather have had my night's sleep. Shame as otherwise would recommend for location, price etc.

Zentral, aber leicht abgewohnt

Posted 04-Mar-2016
Im Bettlaken war ein großes Loch, der Duschvorhang war vergilbt, die Fließen im Bad schmutzig, die Möbel teilweise kaputt. Frühstück war abwechslungsreich, aber wies qualitative Mängel auf.

Nice staff and food. Hotel needs revamp

Posted 19-Feb-2016 on Hotels
Needs money spent on carpets. .Looks pretty shabby. Covers on lights were dirty. Cobwebs on the fire alarm. Staff were friendly but hotel badly needs a revamp. Food was nice. Rooms very cold you need to ring reception to ask for heating to be turned on. Absolutely no parking available. I'd to park outside some random house
