Safir could use some updates to infrastructure(water drains) and staff.
Employees were very timid throughout the stay which didn't make for a very welcoming environment. Once, I asked for a plate and knife from room service and was told that there was a charge of 10 Qatari Riyals. When asked what type of policy this was, they ended up waiving the fee. But I was told it was a rule for guest not buying food from the hotel.
Housekeeping are not 100% thorough when it comes to cleaning(don't move furniture when vacuuming, dusting). But when asked to do something, they were quick to get it done.
The hotel has seen its day, but for a short business trip, it works.
