Excellent all round.

Great, super friendly reception staff. Food was great and the restaurant was beautiful but dimly lit which was lovely for dinner but not so good for breakfast! Good, comfy, clean room. Will stay again next time I'm in the area.

A very nice room in a smart hotel in a lovely area. The food at the Terrace bar was good but the breakfast was not at all pleasant; eggs very hard, bacon was tasteless and the sausages not at all nice. I had the Continental breakfast on the second morning. My main criticism of this hotel was that most of the staff completely ignored me. I must have passed the reception a dozen times or more and not once did the on-duty receptionist, male or female, look up and ask me if everything was alright or a good morning or evening! The rest of the staff were the same: no greetings, enquiries or anything. The manager really has to give a short course on "How to treat the guests who pay their wages". Go and visit a four star hotel in the States and see how they treat their guests!! Maybe it was because I wasn't a golf member!

ok but disappointed

Posted 07-Oct-2016 on Hotels
A little bit disappointed that the hotel had lost or deleted my booking without explanation. Fortunately although the hotel was full I stayed in a huge lodge. This was a little dated, bathroom lights not working and no room service the bed left as per I left it. Glad it was only two nights, the receptionist was very helpful. To round it off it cost £20 to travel 5 miles to my place of work by taxi. Nothing wrong with the hotel but will look elsewhere in future.

Great if your only want to play Golf

Posted 07-Oct-2016 on Hotels
Food not what you'd expect for the price you pay example I had a steak onion rings were cold chips so hot took the skin off the roof of my mouth. Plate presentation or lack of it didn't impress. Golf course though is great bit hilly and lots of hazards study course lay out before hand and you'll enjoy it a lot more the green speed is second to none a real test of putting skill, spa centre bit of a let down pretty basic too functional no real relaxation area only a sauna and pool no character or atmosphere for chilling used it but was back in the room 45 mins later. As tilte said great place if your only going for Golf. My advice search for a deal then it may be worth a visit.

Used this hotel as base to visit the area.

Pros: Quite location but easy access to places round about.
Cons: Hot breakfast could be hotter.
Location: Exeter is very close and driving to a Park&Ride was ideal. Torquay is also a very nice place to visit.
Very nice location and hotel was very comfortable. Staff helpful and efficient when we required them. Room and facilities were very good. The only negative point was that the hot breakfast, wasn't. Luke warm, would best describe this.

Good room , great facilities, golf & pool

My stay at Woodbury park was business related but also very enjoyable with the pool and golf. I would like to return with family and explore the area more.
