A hidden gem

Posted 26-Oct-2016
Pros: Booked this place very late and wouldn't have found it without a satnav. Glad I did. Warm welcome, friendly staff, comfortable room and bed, decent ale in the bar.....at £47.50 including breakfast it was a real bargain.
Cons: The only difficulty was a 3 minute walk in the rain from the public car park. A minor problem in context though.
Location: I used it as a base for going the 8 miles into Exeter next morning. An easy enough drive through the Devon countryside.

Lovely hotel, clean and great price!

Posted 27-Aug-2016
Pros: I really enjoyed the location, as it was quiet. The room was very clean, tidy and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and helpful.
Cons: The parking could be improved, but it wasn't an issue.
Location: The location is lovely, yet hard to get to without own transport. I would also suggest using a SatNav. Exeter town is less than 10 miles away
Our stay at The Silverton Inn was very nice! The hotel was very clean and tidy. The staff were helpful and polite, making us feel very welcome. The room was beautiful and the bed and bedding was so comfortable. Breakfast was included in the price, which was very reasonable, with a varied selection of breakfast options. Very happy with our stay and will be staying there again should we be in the area.

Good Memory

Great manager, showed me around smoothly. So good, I went straight to the bar downstairs, and had some good beer. The locals were so friendly, we talked for hours. Super village, well worth a visit in it's own right, and the Silverton Inn is on a fairly quiet side road.

Very friendly greeting. Was made to feel very welcome, the food was lovely and the views approaching this b&b were just idyllic. It was good value for money and overall I was very happy with my experience.

The Silverton Inn

Posted 20-Feb-2016 on Hotels
I stayed here as a stopover for a weekend's training in Exeter. The room (no.6) was large and bright, although a bit chilly. I think the heating was being temperemental when I arrived but the extremely high vaulted ceiling and upstairs ensuite didn't help. Staff were generous and welcoming; the cooked breakfast was huge and well-prepared; and the room comfort (apart from heating) was spot-on. Parking wasn't too bad but there's very limited parking in front of the Inn. The ensuite was tiny but clean and functional. Took about 20 mins to drive to the centre of Exeter. Would recommend for a rural retreat.
