Good value, off the beaten path

Posted 20-May-2017
Pros: Clean and very well renovated facility, great breakfast.
Cons: Rather a curt greeting when we arrived at around 4PM - said we were a bit early. Also no ensuite no BR.
Location: One of the oldest oak trees in the country in the village
Just stayed for one night and it was just what we wanted but a little hard to find - our GPS took us through miles of very narrrow farm lanes.

We had a lovely stay at The Silverton Inn

Posted 11-Apr-2017
Pros: Everything.
Cons: We really couldn't fault anything.
Location: The hotel is in a small, quiet and very pretty village but is only a short drive from Exeter City centre so you get the best of both worlds.
A lovely Village Inn, friendly staff, a warm welcome, our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean and the breakfast was great. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back😊

Could not fault the property or the staff, they were all accommodating , friendly and obviously care very much for what they do. Also food was incredible and beer selection was impressive . Only issue for me was the loud drunk people outside singing at 3 in the morning .

Clean rooms

Posted 12-Dec-2016 on Hotels
Reasonably price rooms but with share bathroom toilet. Access to hotel via small local roads. Not good for night driving into Exeter. Nice for a country village stay.

A hidden gem

Posted 26-Oct-2016
Pros: Booked this place very late and wouldn't have found it without a satnav. Glad I did. Warm welcome, friendly staff, comfortable room and bed, decent ale in the bar.....at £47.50 including breakfast it was a real bargain.
Cons: The only difficulty was a 3 minute walk in the rain from the public car park. A minor problem in context though.
Location: I used it as a base for going the 8 miles into Exeter next morning. An easy enough drive through the Devon countryside.
