Excellent Farm Bed & Breakfast

Posted 23-May-2016
Pros: The cooked breakfasts were LOVELY and service was very swift.
Cons: A sausage and baked beans with cooked breakfast could be offered as an extra. Tourist information leaflets in the lobby area.
Location: Powderham Castle and farm shop is 1.6 miles away. Starcross has a The Anchor Inn that specialises in excellent local fresh fish and is 12 mins away.
Very warm welcome by the Lamberts. We felt at home and relaxed in the lovely country/farm setting in Kenton, Devon. The room and en suite was clean and nicely decorated with toiletries provided. Tea and coffee was also available in the room.Beds were clean and comfortable. Beautiful view from the bedroom window.

Great farm getaway.

Posted 16-Apr-2016 on Hotels
A perfect place for a quiet getaway. Easy to find - only a short distance from the main road, but seemed more isolated than it actually was. Hosts very welcoming, knowledgeable and happy to impart helpful information on places to visit.Immaculately clean, breakfasts plentiful and beautifully presented, loads of tea and coffee. Spent 3 days there - could happily have stayed much longer. All kinds of wildlife appeared on the lawns before your very eyes. A most enjoyable stay.

Tranquil and comfortable

Posted 13-Apr-2016 on Hotels
Beautiful tranquil setting , comfortable bed, excellent hosts. If you're looking for a quiet night in a comfortable room this is it. No bar or facilities as not a hotel but if you want peace and a good nights rest you'd have to go far and pay a lot more for something half as good. Good breakfast and good Wifi.

Great B&B

Posted 08-Mar-2016 on Hotels
Situated on the right side of the road from Exeter, this lovely B&B is one of the nicest I have stayed in. The room was in excellent condition and the house is a wonderfully elegant Georgian property surrounded by fields. Charming.

Delia, the lady of the house, was welcoming in her farm which, as a little aside from the main road, benefited from the fresh air and quiet of the countryside. The room was quite sufficient for a short break, the bed comfortable, the breakfast (English) excellent, the whole spotlessly clean, and the garden invigorating. As only b&b is offered, dinner must be sought out (which is not so easy in the area), but, for a holiday base, Mill Farm is the perfect choice.
