Nice hotel staff were excellent

Posted 05-May-2016
Pros: Excellent All of it.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Don't know as we got there and had to get back to the airport, as another Cockup.
If it was not for the staff we would still be there your paper work was BAD you said we had two nights at The Hamton in Exeter, we had to race back to the Airport as the flight was in ten minutes, so a complete cockup buy you guy's. Worst break we have ever had.

Lovely Hotel!

We used the Hampton as a base for visiting relatives in Devon with my 81 year old mother. It was a lovely hotel, very clean with very friendly helpful staff. Had a little issue finding it at first, but other than that a pleasurable stay with good food in the evening, and that was just in the bar, and lovely self service breakfast. Which evenincluded a make your own waffle machine...lovely! Would definitely stay again.

Nice Hotel

Nice clean Hotel. Excellent staff and very helpful. Breakfast was good and a nice assortment to eat. Room was fitted out with good quality furniture and fittings. overall a nice place to stay prior to an early flight. It was unusual that the shuttle bus to the airport was not available between 5:45 and 6:15 due to hand over but this is exactly the time customers need due to many 7am departures and I certainly wouldn't like to walk to the airport mid winter.

Nice but basic hotel. No room service and the Internet connection is awful! The food next door was good and the staff were nice... Good hotel for one nights stay but wouldn't stay longer... Not good to find it too.. Should be sign posted better.

Exeter Airport

Posted 26-Jan-2016 on Hotels
It's alway easier to report the more negative points than the positive ones, therefore: we expected biscuits with the tea / coffee making facilities, the shower water pressure was quite poor, the shampoo / conditioner was quite cheap, I had several attempts to phone reception to find out what time breakfast was served (the first two or three attempts gave me a recorded message that I had a wrong number after approx 12 rings. The room literature didn't advise meal times), the breakfast would be best considered as "fuel" rather than a satisfying meal, the TV remote was so well used to the extent that not all button symbols were clearly visible. However, the sleep was peaceful for an airport location, the room was of sufficient size, clean and tidy - but the above prevented it from being an enjoyable stay. Additionally, signage to the airport was poor (it was after dark anyway) with no real signage until you drove down what looked like a small industrial estate road past the airport terminal itself. A sign saying "Hampton by Hilton This Way", with an arrow would have been useful. [my in-car SatNav didn't recognise the last letter of the postcode].
