If you are travelling long distances, then taking internal flights is the quickest and most convenient way of getting around. The resorts of Monastir and Sousse cater for tourists but there is plenty of history here too. The Sousse medina and souk are a Unesco World Heritage Site and are not to be missed. A trip to the dessert comes highly recommended too, where you can even visit some of the filming locations for the original Star Wars movie.
