"A wonderful oasis in Luang Prabang"
We walked into the lobby and were immediately met by possibly the most friendly person we have seen in our travels through Southeast Asia (which is really saying a lot, given how friendly people are everywhere!). After getting a copy of our passports, the manager sat us down and showed us a detailed map of the city with his recommendations for places to go. He also showed us pictures and gave recommendations of the fun touristy things to do around town. One of the warmest people we have ever met, Phone really made our short trip to Laos even more special!
In addition to the friendly hospitality, the rest of the hotel was great. Our room was very comfortable, with A/C, a shower, and all of the amenities you would expect from a hotel in Southeast Asia. The (free!) continental breakfast was delicious, with pancakes, french toast, eggs (cooked to order), fresh fruit, juice, milk, cereal, coffee, tea, toast, and of course fried rice. There were many bicycles available to ride, also for free, which was very nice as Luang Prabang is a very bike-friendly city. If you don't want to rent a bike, there are free shuttles that go to and from the night market that leave quite often, and shuttles can also be arranged to go to all of the popular tourist destinations.
When we come back to Luang Prabang (which may be very soon), we will definitely book here again!
