Good hotel in a good location

Posted 25-Jul-2016
Stayed here on Saturday night and will definitely return of we're in the area again. Free parking, spacious and clean room and good value for money. Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food but every other aspect of the hotel was as we'd expect.

Great hotel for a festival stay

Posted 15-Jun-2016
Pros: Really nice staff attitude and consideration towards festival goers.
Cons: Aircon in the rooms.
Location: Great pubs and restaurants in centre of Derby.
Stayed here for the download festival, which the hotel embraced, providing tea/coffee/biscuits in reception for festival goers and bin bags for wet gear and muddy boots at the end of the day! Only downside was that there was no aircon in the room which meant that it was a tad warm with three smelly blokes in the room! I would stay here again though as it was convenient for the train station, shuttle bus to the festival and the pubs in town.

Very noisy, due to parties-loud music till midnight

Posted 05-Jun-2016
Pros: -
Cons: Need to be modernised. Rooms above party areas should not be made available or given at very low price and made clear at the time of booking.
Overall not very good. Rooms generally very old. very limited parking- I had to park across the road

Posted 04-Jun-2016
Pros: Free car parking. Restaurant and bar on site with garden to sit in with a drink after a day out.
Location: Easy walk to intu shopping centre. Train station opposite if travelling by train.
very nice hotel in a good location. Easy to find via sat nav. good sized car park. very quiet for a city centre hotel and the garden was a bonus.

Early morning disturbance.

Posted 16-May-2016
Hotel was ok, but we were disturbed early in the morning by a stranger in our room. More than a little concerned about room security for obvious reasons. My advice is to stay in the Hallmark Inn directly across the road. It's smaller but more modern and cheaper.

Awful. We were booked into the Midland and they turfed us out to this one as they had over booked. Terrible bed, no sleep

Didn't meet my expectations

Poor cleanliness of room, bed topper had stains on. Old furniture propped up by folded over cardboard. Mixture of colour paint touch ups on walls.

great price small room

Posted 13-Apr-2016 on Hotels
for just over 30 quid for a nights stay in a small double we cant really grumble? Everything was fine, checkin was smooth, room clean, free wifi, bar, food etc. Only booked as an overnight stay for the football. Would suggest if a couple booking to avoid the small double, it is just too small unless you are both rather petite? Would stay again but not a small/comfort double.
