My son and I were driving across the U.S. and we decided to stop in the Denver area for a couple of nights. Because it was late evening we found our normal staple hotels were all booked up. I found the Sleep Inn had an available double bed room so I booked it. From the previous reviews it seemed pleasant enough, but along our trip we've had some awful rooms from the other hotels. When we got to our room we were pleasantly surprised. The room smelled clean, not Fabreeze or Lysol spray clean either, I mean really clean. The bed was comfortable enough. My bed at home has me pretty spoiled, but I wasn't uncomfortable sleeping at this hotel. We liked little decor touches that made it seem less "hotelly" like some very nice photos arranged in a well thought out cohesive arrangement, a rounded wall so that you don't stub your toe as you come in and out of the room, lots of outlets to charge our phones and other electronic items, and even the walls had been painted in a pleasant and thoughtful manner with yellows and greens instead of the typical boring hotel room style. The shower was a modular stall with a glass door that was obviously cleaned every day because there were no hard water spots at all and no mold. We had breakfast and again we were pleasantly surprised with the selection and taste. Even though we came in at 1:00 am, the front clerk greeted us with a smile and answered all of our questions. The breakfast attendant was also very helpful and nice.
