Absolutely awful – NEVER AGAIN
- We discovered bed bugs on our bed on the last night of our stay. - No certain in one of our rooms -wrong room allocation - Rude staff, who needs lots of training -Washing machine flooded the kitchen - Quite a lot of flies in the reception area - We were not allowed visitors in our room - TV is very old and hardly works -The water spray in the toilet was broken -Bathroom 'needs' to be refurbished and up to date -No water pressure in the shower

Found cockroaches in my room, staff did not seem to care and just left me with a can of roach spray. Glad it was just one night. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra money for a better hotel somewhere else Dubai.

Nice place to stay
The apartment was generally very nice with enough space especially if you have a family. Free unlimited fast WIFI is a plus. My family enjoyed it and we will come again.

A great place to get some rest between flights.
We were just needing to get some rest overnight between flights. This place worked great for that. Just make sure you arrange airport pickup ahead of time. This would also work well for a few days as the rooms are very spacious.

We waited for almost an hour to check in! There weren't alot of people checking in only one damily before us but the service was too slow. Then they gave us an occupied room by mistake, we had to return back to the front office to change it.

Close to the airport
Not 5he nicest neighbourhood, but the room and staff are excellent. Free shuttle the the airport. 10 minute walk to metro. Suite was HUGE! Kitchen was large and their was in-suite was hung machine. Kitchen had cutlery and dishes and plates but otherwise unstocked, so no way of cooking without a huge grocery shop. Would recommend.

Lotus Grand
The "free" Internet was HORRIBLE--when it did work and the maintenance person could not get it working properly (and twice he said he would return to fix it, but never returned). The washing machine did work, but it's dryer barely dried the clothes, so instead if repairing the machine, we were provided with a metal clothes "dryer" for the balcony. Also, in the first day the microwave shorted out and it took an additional day to receive a replacement. The kitchen is fully stocked with utinseka, but you'll have to bring your own bottled water and instant coffee, tea, sugar, etc. If your plans include visiting the next door Canadian Hospital, then the Lotus Grand is convenient, but for less money per night, the additional taxi fare or metro traveling expenses would be worth staying at a different hotel. We never ate at the restaurant because the prices were too costly.

Enormous apartment
The hotel is close to the airport, five minutes from the metro & there are plenty of places to eat nearby. It's close to a major road intersection, so once we found it the first time it was easy enough to drive there (apart from the horrible Dubai traffic). We had a 3-room apartment and it was huge, with 3 1/2 bathrooms. The cleaners could have done a better job (vacuum or mop the floor each day) but overall it was clean enough.

Huge room, full kitchen with all the furniture and space for a family. Neighborhood not so great, too close to the edge of Dubai and the internet (Wifi) was quite bad. Some days I could not even connect in the room. Price was reasonable and the room was big, but you can find a better location. Not much in the neighborhood.

My worst holiday ever
The moment we arrived we were not greeted nicely by the staff at the counter. Then came the real night mare. My wife opened the washing machine door and it fell off literally and the hotel manager or duty manager accused us that we broke the machine and it is chargeable at dhs175. I have been to many hotels apartments and the managers will not come on phone as well. The hotel has lousiest house keeping department the room gets fully cleaned every other day but it feels dirty. entertainment tv few channels and not clear as well. On checkout same story we are full etc manager does not want to speak to clients. Please do not book at this hotel apartment you will get into unnecessary trouble.

superb staff and accomodations
I was very happy with the service and the quality of the facilities. My special appreciation goes to the night manager, Walid, for his exceptional service. The pool and exercise facilities were super. On my next trip to Dubai it is the only place I will stay.

Bathroom Needs Renovation
Jane gave us a welcome smile. Jane said if we pay when we book in they will not keep our passports ( funny in the USA if you go to a hotel/motel they want your ID/Driver's License) if not they will keep passports until you paid/leave. Our room I will give it a three star, bed was very low and the bathroom had mole couldn't take bath. Report to staff and was move to another room 24 hours because they had to fix that room also. Manager said. ( for our inconvenience gave my husband/I free breakfast ) They did give us a ride to the airport. If they improve in the height of bed and renovate bathrooms it will be an ideal hotel to stay. The kitchen was clean which I appreciate very much. I am looking forward to a family vacation next year in the summer. Thanks the staff was great. I would recommend to my friend who is coming in July.

Fairly Nice Hotel.
Hotel looks good from outside but rooms furniture and amenities need to be changed. Same set of furniture and TV since I have been staying in this hotel as far back as 2008. The hotel does not have loyalty program. For instance since 2008 that I have been staying in this hotel, I have never received any appreciation for my loyalty.

Wish I had fully read reviews before booking. I have never stayed in such a filthy room ever in any part of the globe. The final insult was they couldn't even give us a room key. It was lost and we had to be let into our room. This didn't make for a relaxing nights sleep. As we wondered who would walk in! If we hadn't arrived at the hotel so late we would walked out immediately. No attempt has been made to improve he cleanliness of this hotel having read now the previous reviews hotel was given the opportunity to speak to me reference the stay and have not followed it through to conclusion yet, 3 days later. If you can avoid this hotel at all costs. It was interesting to note that as we struggled to find our room we walked to the other wing and it appeared to be of a less dated finish. But that does not excuse major house cleaning issues! Plus the lack of a room key. Just to reassure you all further all the passports they had taken from customers for copying was just left on the side behind an unmanned counter!

Ignorant and rude staff
Horrible experience with a disrespectful manager from this hotel, upon arrival took over 20mins to finally come out his office to speak with myself. Initially stating I had no reservation, having produced my booking confirmation he then went onto say my credit card had declined which had just been used prior to arriving at the hotel. Unbelievably rude and arrogant with no consideration that my family have had a long journey and simply looking to check in to our room which we booked. Upon checking the room which he phoned up to have cleaned, I found entire appartment smelling of damp and nowhere near to the standards shown in the pictures. I did not take up on his offer to pay in full with a deposit there and then before checking in. AVOID AT ALL COSTS !

Big Rooms but needs better Customer Service
my stay was short and quick but was hot ( A/C not working)swimming pool not working. AT check out they dont know if my payment was done or no ,and they let me come back to hotel while am on my way to airport because of the receptionist mistake.

location, receptionist and ridiculously large room (1 bed apartment) all very good. However, extremely shabby and the shower only had hot water for about 5 mins. Pretty good for business but girls would probably complain a lot about the shower. Internet costs money but was reliable in the room I was in. would stay again.

A family member was a patient at the Canadian Specialist Hospital. I chose the Lotus because of it's location to the hospital. The location to the hospital is great. There are grocery stores and cafes within a few feet of the Lotus. Taxis are readily available right outside of the main entrance. I was disappointed that I had to pay for internet. The rooftop pool was a nice size. The restaurant/buffet was adequate. The apartment was nice and roomy it could use a deep clean. The bathrooms were a bit dingy and the edges of the floors were pretty dirty.

Spacious clean hotel
I really liked the hotel, 2 bedroom was spacious, room cleaned regularly. Night staff were amazing, day staff should receive a bit more training on customer service and greeting guests with a smile atleast. Maybe the night a staff could provide that training. It is near the metro station, about 5 min walk, however you still need to change to get to dubai mall and emirates mall. Its far from these locations. Some places like Mcdonalds and Dominos dont deliver to the hotel due to the area however others do such as kfc and pizzahut. I would stay there again if day staff were a bit more helpful and showed a willingness to please guests. i dont like that it is so far away from the major locations, however that is what you get for the price. Night staff made my stay comfortable, there are two supermarkets across from the hotel as food is pricey at the hotel. Took advantage of the swimming pool on the roof, very clean great size. But if you want to go to the beach the closest beach which is mamzar beach, free bus leaves from the hotel at 10am n picks you up back to the hotel at 1pm. Just which they told us this at the beginning of our holiday rather then mid through.

Fair for the Cost
The hotel was close to the airport and the staff was nicer and much more helpful than expected based on the other reviews. The room was very large to include a kitchenette, 1 and 1/2 baths and separate bedroom. The room itself was clean enough, but the throw rug in the living room was badly stained. Transportation from the hotel was provided to the airport and prompt. There is no entertainment near by, but in comparison to the rest of the country cabs are cheap.

Don't book it!
This hotel was run very badly. The apartment was large but that us where the positive stops. Pool looked away but the. Once in it it was gritty with algae. The noise level from above us kept us up all night and the staff did nothing. Mistakes happened the whole time we were there.. Very very badly managed. Don't do it! Book Raffles Dubai instead.

The lobby and common areas of the hotel were well kept, but the room was dirty. The floors had not been cleaned and the dishes were also dirty in the cupboards. The sheets were very worn with small holes and it was difficult to tell if they had been changed or if the bed had just been remade. When we went to shower in the morning, we discovered that the towels were dirty. Overall, an unsettling experience. Because we arrived late in the evening we did not call down about the room condition, but notified the front desk when we checked out in the morning. They apologized, but we did not have time to discuss with management because we were leaving to catch a flight.

Over all I enjoyed my stay at Lotus the only concern was the water never got very hot & was downright cold for my 530 am shower on day of departure. Staff were respectful & helpful Location is right next door to Canadian Specialist Hospital
