Booked the hotel for my Niece who was in transit. she had a 10 hours gap between flights and i didn't want her to be alone, late at night in an airport she wasn't familiar with, this seemed like a good compromise.
The added bonus, was a lovely man waiting for her when she got off her flight with a board with her name on it. She was very grateful for this as she didn't think she would have found it on her own.
Overall it gave her time to relax in peace.
Thanks to all the staff.

Rotana has goo facilities, but have one problem that I cannot really understand. There are the only 5 star hotel that is still charging for Internet in the room per device. This is the only negative. Otherwise I would have rated it 5 out 5.
The hotel has very nice, tidy, clean rooms etc. The facilities are excellent - gym, pool etc. The staff appeared helpful but one or two lied to us/were rude. The location is good for the airport but not for all the main sites.

Stayed for a quick layover of one night, the staff was very friendly and check in was quick. It was a fairly quick trip to the hotel from DXB (Dubai Intl.) but the return to the airport was even faster maybe 10-15minutes at most. There is a night club on the top floor with a decent band playing american top forty style hits
On the north side of Dubai Creek, Deira is an interface between the high-rise business city and the traditional Arab trading port. Modern malls give way to ancient souks selling silks, spices, gold, perfumes, and a lively fish market. A broad waterfront promenade leads past the dhow wharf, where the wooden vessels offload their cargos. Beyond lie the dhow boat-building yards, and Dubai Creek’s ritzy golf and yacht club.
