I enjoyed my stay at the Rotana. My room balcony opened up straight to the pool area which was pretty cool.Breakfast buffet was good with lots of options. However, my room was smelling smoky which was quite annoying. It will also be nice if they can provide a shuttle to the airport due to the proximity of the hotel to the airport
The hotel was recommended by one of my friend who stayed here some time back. I choose the hotel for 2 reasons, one it was close to Gold Souk (Market) and second this hotel offers free breakfast :), recommended by the friend made my decision firmer.
I will keep my review short and touch upon all the aspects which would help anyone interested in staying this hotel. Please note, I visited the area in the month of July mid when the Temperature is in peek condition with humidity at its highest %. Read my review keeping these conditions in mind as it may not applicable if you are traveling in Nov timeframe when its pleasant :)
Checkin took some time, but was ok. Old furniture and worn out carpet needs replacement especially being a 4 star hotel. Room was little small, but was good for me as i was using the hotel for night only. Bed was comfortable, but AC took some time especially looking at the outside temperature.
Best part was the morning breakfast. So many options, on demand cooked up food, fruits, indian curry etc, I love it. I would recommend to book the room with Breakfast, no brainer. I did not had lunch or dinner, but i am sure that would be great, not sure about the cost though.
Overall i would recommend this hotel if you are not planing to stay in the hotel other than using it for sleeping. Standard rooms are little small, but are good for 2 people. Bathroom were small too with hot and cold water flow is not very consistent, so be careful.
In my opinion this hotel is good value for money and it is an excellent 5* hotel. Service and the cleanliness of the hotel is second to none. food and the breakfast choices is outstanding, I have stayed 8 times in this particular hotel and I don't have to explain any further why I did. there are many beautiful hotels in Dubai but they are also much expensive for what you get.
Try this hotel and I recommend it to any one. its good value for money!
On the north side of Dubai Creek, Deira is an interface between the high-rise business city and the traditional Arab trading port. Modern malls give way to ancient souks selling silks, spices, gold, perfumes, and a lively fish market. A broad waterfront promenade leads past the dhow wharf, where the wooden vessels offload their cargos. Beyond lie the dhow boat-building yards, and Dubai Creek’s ritzy golf and yacht club.
