The room I got is modern, new and comfortable, with the hotel being in a great location next to the conference centre and near the city centre shops and restaurants. There were a few issues with the room, however, namely a broken bulb over the desk, shower head holder coming loose, and a cupboard door that can only be opened partially. Notified the front desk regarding these and only the bulb was replaced. The other 2 issues did not really cause major inconveniences but it was mildly annoying not being able to fully open the safe within the cupboard due to the faulty cupboard door. All in all, a pleasant hotel but definite room for improvement.

Lovely hotel in a historic, beautiful building with modern and comfortable rooms. What is more impressive, however, are the staff who are all incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Location is also great as it is within walking distance of the high street malls and many restaurants. Highly recommended.

The check in staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we had was very large and tidy, apart from in the wardrobe there were items of clothing that had been left. We took them to reception and the the staff said that housekeeping must have overlooked them. Our room wasn't cleaned for the 3 nights we were there. Now I keep the room tidy myself but it would have been nice to have had some clean towels and loo rolls.
The biggest issue though was the ventilation. There is no air-conditioning, or if there is it is doesn't work properly. We had to have the windows open to try and keep the temperature bearable in the night but as this hotel is on Deansgate and as it's in Manchester some nice soul was demonstrating their supercar at 3 in the morning and it was very noisy. I know this isn't the fault of the hotel but if the air-con worked we could have kept the windows shut.
I would stop at this hotel again, but I think it'll be for the Christmas markets.

A reasonably comfortable Hotel, however, the room was a little cramped with two beds in, and the pillows were too hard.
As it was recommended we went for a evening meal in the nearby Midland Hotel, to Mr Cooper's House and Garden restaurant.
Excellent food. Would advise all to try. Excellent value.
We did not eat in the evening in the hotel so cannot comment on dinner.

The apartment rental was wonderful and had plenty of space for me and my guests. It's a little difficult to find the address, but it's right next to the Per Tutti Café. The local grocery stores, shopping malls, and transportation spots were nearby and there are plenty of options to eat within walking distance. It was very convenient and a great place to stay. Our main purpose to come here was to watch the football matches so this was a great location in between both of Manchester's football clubs (Old Trafford and Ethiad Stadium).
