"Great location and the food was good too "

"We’ve stayed here multiple times. Mostly great. They were fully booked while we were there. We had to call everyday for towels and to get dirty towels taken from our room, however, they were always quick to bring them when we called. Unfortunately, there were other “guests” or maybe randoms, who came through stealing our belongings poolside. The front desk didn’t know how to handle this crazy situation. There are cameras everywhere, but they weren’t up on how to use them for incidents like we encountered. Probably won’t go back due to feeling taken advantage of by other crazy guests. I didn’t feel safe and taken care of when this incident occurred. Probably due to riff raff in Daytona these days, The staff needs to be trained on how to handle these crazy situations their guests may encounter. Otherwise, a great stay. "

"We really enjoyed our recent stay at El Caribe. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable. The rooms were very clean, and we especially loved the comfortable beds and the variety of pillows provided. While the property is on the older side, it is great to see the ongoing updates. Every member of your staff, including the maintenance team, was extremely friendly and helpful. We also wanted to share a special mention for the check-in desk team—the ladies were absolutely amazing, and there was a gentleman there who was very funny and made us feel welcome. The location is excellent, and while the grocery store across the street was under renovation, having a Publix just up the road was very convenient. Thank you again for a wonderful stay."

"The pool needs scrubbing."

"I stayed here for four days, and I’ll say this upfront—I won’t be staying again, no matter how cheap it is. The owners (I’m assuming), a tan man with dark hair, were extremely rude. I asked a simple question about why the key knobs on the outside doors weren’t working, and he snapped that they only work from inside to outside. It didn’t make much sense, and the attitude was unnecessary. An older blonde woman who was always around him also had a constant standoffish look—no smile, no greeting, nothing welcoming. The room had a great balcony view, but there were no chairs, so you’re stuck sitting on cold tile. The bathroom was honestly disgusting. The door wouldn’t lock and was just a flimsy sliding panel that didn’t stay in place. It all felt very worn and unclean. The hot water worked well, but it was randomly shut off one morning with no warning. The walls had stains, and while the beds were comfortable and seemed clean, the carpets felt grimy—I kept socks or flip flops on the whole time. Breakfast was basic and nothing special. When we asked to extend one more night, we were immediately told no with no explanation. The weather was windy during our stay, but the pool had debris sitting in it for days, including a floating trash can. Other nearby hotels kept their pools clean, so it felt like a lack of effort. Overall, between rude management and poor upkeep, it’s just not worth it."

"Pool was only heated on the weekend, Viking cafe was not open, not allowed to swim in the outdoor pool because it was broken (fixed after 4 days of our stay but we were told it would be fixed on the day we checked in), ran out of toilet paper twice and had to go down to the main office to get some since rooms weren’t taken care of except our last day out of a 7 night stay"

"Positives: balcony room, facing the ocean, the view and location are perfect. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Cons: fridge was disgusting and smelly - we couldn’t use it, the general smell of the hotel was disgusting. There were carpets in the hallways. Lots of weed smoking happening ("
