I do not believe the people who manage this place understand what the concept of a serviced apartment is. I understand this is probably one of the cheapest places to stay in Darlington, but I didn't expect for nobody to take the trash out in the 4 days I stayed there given that I was not provided with a bag for the bin in the kitchen. I have tried cooking, but for that I had to wash and clean the cutlery, some of which was greasy, including the chopping board. The first night I got there the apartment was freezing cold. The lightbulb in the main bedroom was burnt so I had to change it myself. It smelled like mould, so it's clearly not in a good condition. I'm unsure if I was just unlucky with the apartment I booked and perhaps other apartments are better. The tiles in the bathroom are dirty especially and so are the areas around the toilets.
On a positive note, it was well equipped with most of the basics and I was able to cook something. In the end I had to turn the heating on myself by using the boiler. Perhaps the best way to describe this place is "self-serviced apartment". And if cheap and dirty is what it's what you're looking for to spend £75/night, then you found the perfect place.
