Lots of fun activities for the family. Attractive architecture. Great sea views. Good air conditioned rooms with flat screen TVs. The only issue was in the morning no water in the 2 rooms our family was staying so we were not able to take showers before breakfast and by the time breakfast was over it was 10am checkout time so we left the hotel without showers. Otherwise our stay there was really nice.

Lovely stay
We stayed for 2 nights as a family - 3 separate rooms last week. The food could be improved and the rate of service too. The rooms were amazing, big spacious and very clean! The grounds are well looked after and just so beautiful. There are different areas of the hotel to explore - we loved the sand banks and they arranged for us to get a boat to an island which was great! Thank you so much Kunduchi!

Nice and wellmaintained hotel . Very slow service when ordering meals , drinks or coffee. Evening menu could be better, (more choises). Very Nice location at the Beach.

I’ve been travelling for 19 years both for work and personally and this place is something else - Toilet in bathroom was leaking - Door of bathroom was rotten from water damage - TV didn’t work - Fridge was empty (even though there was a menu with prices for drinks in room) and it was rusted inside. - No room service menu in room (had to request this 3 times) - the room I booked on Expedia was different to my actual room - I paid to have a room with seating on a balcony but didn’t get one - music was thumping outside until late night on Friday and Saturday night - housekeeping forgot to leave toilet paper/shower gel or fresh drinking water twice - Pretty much has to call reception 3 times before anytime was auctioned - I went down for breakfast and didn’t like the buffet and asked if could order a la carte. I was told I couldn’t order anything until Midday. I spoke with the manager of the hotel and she had to go into the kitchen to ask the chef to make something for me. - I booked the hotel and they had a water park attached to it and my offer included free entry. I asked for my pass on Saturday morning and was told I couldn’t go as the park had a private booking. The person who checked me in on the Friday failed to inform me. - WiFi was terrible and kept on getting thrown off it. - staff not very well trained at front desk.

Terrible Receptionist manager. She is a liar. If she tells you something you better ask in writing otherwise she will change her mind the next time just to keep her Job. She should be replaced As you can see for your self in the pictures

Much improvement needed
We booked online, and when we arrived to check in, they made us pay additional tourism fees. There was no hot water in the showers. The pools were dirty. Food was not well prepared - our ice cream was soupy and melted, our pizza dough was still raw... we asked for green peppers to be left out of food due to a food allergy, but they put green peppers in anyhow... they did nothing to take care of these issues. We were harassed by the security guards and not allowed to take photos on the beach unless we paid additional fees for each photo. It is a beautiful place with a lot of potential, but nobody is concerned about the small details that make a business successful. When a guest is traveling for a vacation they want to enjoy their experience not to be frustrated the whole time. We will never return to this place.

Kunduchi great for kids
Nice hotel and water park is great for the kids although more safety precautions would be good at the water park. Great staff and the management cared about guests and continuously asked for feedback. The receptionist named Chiku was very helpful, welcoming and extemely nice. The room we stayed in was a bit small and the food quality and variation was mediocre. Beach could do with cleaning and it would be good to have entertainment in the evenings. All in all a great family holiday location. Thank you team kunduchi!

Beatiful beach, Exhilarating Water park!
We were there last week for our 10th anniversary and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The white sand beach is quite a site. The Music will soothe any soul. Make sure you visit the Water park for the "out of this world" adrenaline pumping monster slides. Only drawback back is once you book online you tend to be treated as a second class citizen. In a subtle way you'll be told, "next time book directly with the hotel"

The hotel location is excellent. The hotel self is average and certainly not worth the rate being charged. As a favourite venue for the wealthy it also means other guests get inconvenienced with loud music booming till mid-night or later. Perhaps it is great for the wedding guests but not for . Throughout my stay I felt everything is being done in a very stingy way - only one small bottle of water in the room, no replacement of soaps until you squeezed the last bit out, pens and masking tape gets rationed as if there is a national scarcity, cheap powder coffee with meals, etc

...food was low quality, poor variety, long lines for omelet and fresh juice for breakfast. Coffee to be avoided by all means. At arrival, copying the passport was a problem, at the departure the credit card could not be used because of lack of Internet connection. Other than that, the place is magnificent, the rooms have a beautiful view, the flowery plants covering the outside walls are a dream...

Famliy Break at Kunduchi Beach Dar A Salaam
Hotel Location is far from Dar a Salaam., so one can be stuck without transport. The Hotel is of good standard, but needs upgrading. The breakfast offered good choices however repeated each day. We did not have any evening meals so cannot comment. The Beach is isolated and hence gave privacy, The white sandy beach is clean and pleasant, with very little interference from beach sellers. The sea had very little weed and when we visited in July, the water was pleasantly warm. The swimming pool was of good size,with Bar, kept well, and the grounds were also clean, however the Sun lounger mats needs replacing urgently. Towels provided were clean. Near by there is the Water park, and this is free for residents to use. The cost of the food in Hotel is comparably High. There is a Charge for Internet Wi-Fi @ $10 per 24 hrs or 500 MB, this can be very expensive, if you have 4 iphone users, The Hotel has a Conference Centre, so one would have expected Wi-fi to be Free. The GM and staff were pleasant and helpful at all time.

One problem after another - awful hotel!
The show had only a trickle of luke warm to cool water. The phone did not work. My safe did not work. None of these problems was solved despite me complaining within minutes of check-in. My bath mat (hanging over the edge of the tub) was covered in a carpet of mold when I went to put it in the tub! Add to that, we had to wait 45 minutes at the airport for "more people" and couldn't leave until we finally approached a taxi, found out he'd have taken us immediately for the same price ($45 USD) as our shuttle, and threatened to leave to the shuttle driver. Top it off, the shuttle died before we got all the way to the hotel, so we had to get out and walk the last 500 yards or so. Just unacceptable. Also note that they charge $10/ day for internet and it only connects one device easily at a time (too bad if you want multiple connected)! Go anywhere else. This place is truly horrid. The only saving grace is a nice set of staff that clearly wants to help -but has neither the English skills nor the quality hotel behind them to make it count!

Hot water to no water
When I arrived at this hotel I was very impressed by the way I was welcomed. A cold cloth to cool down my face from the extreme hot weather and a cold drink all this before I even checked in. The lobby is very lavish and had an extremely open let luxuries look which I have never seen before. The room was unique in design and a large balcony with a tanning bed of sort but unfortunatly as I prepared to shower open the tabs. To my surprise cold water came out tried different things like the other tab then the sink tab then called reception they sent a guy who took a half hour to get (might not have been 30min exactly but when your waiting to shower with your towel wrapped around your waist time stops) When he finally arrived he fixed it then left. I jumped in turned the tab...nothing came out. Called the reception again the guy came back and this time he finally got it right and I got to have my shower an hour or two after check in. Not impressed.

The hotel staffwere friendly and helpful, and the beach was immaculately clean and well looked-after. Room clean with good en-suite. Good choice of food at breakfast and evening buffets.

Try downtown Dar Es Salaam instead.
This hotel is some ways out of Downtown Dar Es Salaam and as a result you would think that it would cater to European tourist needs being a beach resort. However, the staff are very slow and almost have an attitude when serving you especially in the restaurants and bars in the hotel. I was in a group of 8 people and they found it hard getting our orders right even thought they wrote them down on paper. Also there is a habit in Tanzania, and this hotel, of waiting till all the food in the orders is cooked till they bring it out which means some people have hot food and while others are cold which means sending it back and waiting another age. If you want a beach holiday in Tanzania I would suggest Zanzibar instead.

Jeg vil under ingen omstændigheder anbefale dette sted til nogle!! Hotellet er nærmest forladt vi var næsten de eneste gæster som boede der. Stranden ekstremt beskidt at det ikke kan benyttes. Vandlandet er helt ødelagt og beskidt, jeg og min familie tog derhen for at bade og fik et syn vi ikke havde forventet og var virkelig skuffet over stedet. Poolen på hotellet er virkelig lille og ekstremt kloret at din hud bliver irriteret af det og dine øjne svier dagen lang af alt den klorin der er i poolen. Derudover er bruseren på hotel værelset ligeså dårligt og virkelig saltet vand. Hotellet er langt fra hvad det viser sig på billederne og vil ikke anbefale på nogle måder.

Wir hatten für einen Tag gebucht. Letztendlich haben wir nochmal um einen Tag verlängert. Das Hotel braucht sich hinter großen Hotels wie z.b. das White Sands nicht verstecken. Ein tolles Hotel mit sehr super Angestellten. Das Zimmer was wir hatten war nicht riesig, aber groß genug für uns und auch super geschnitten. Alles sehr sauber. Das Frühstück war auch sehr lecker. Was da nur etwas stört, dass die Vögel immer reingeflogen kommen und versuchen an das Essen zu kommen. Da wir Halbpension hatten bekamen wir Abends ein Menü serviert, welches aus einer Suppe, einem Salat, der Hauptspeise und einem Dessert bestand. Man hatte immer eine Auswahl aus 2 verschiedenen Angeboten. Super lecker und reichhaltig. Der Strand vorm Hotel war auch super. Am Morgen waren etwas Algen und Plastik angespült ( wirklich wenig). Dies wurde aber von den Angestellten entfernt. So war der Strand wirklich sauber mit einem sauberen Wasser, was man wirklich genießen konnte. Auch der Pool war top. Nicht riesig aber völlig ausreichend und sauber. Nebenan befindet sich noch der Wasserpark. Dafür bekommt man an der Reception einen Coupon und kann dann gratis rein. Unsere Kinder hatten ihren Spaß. Super Aufenthalt. Wir kommen nächstes Jahr auf jeden Fall wieder!!

Barely 3 Star - NOT 4,5 Star...
This was a bad experience! Promotes as a 4,5 Star hotel, but barely deserve 3 Stars.....Some examples: towels handed out by pool was NOT cleaned, just hanged out for drying and handed out to New guests the day after. Promoted as WI-Fi free all over hotel. No signals in rooms, and VERY poor Wireless Wi-Fi elsewehere. Up to 1-2 hour waiting for room service. No ice cupes! Very bad Food / breakfast. Birds flying all over in the dining area. Photos promotion at hotels.com where extremely overselling the reality etc etc.

Úžasný relax
Krásný hotel s velmi milým personálem. Bylo o mně skvěle postaráno. Jediným mínusem je pláž, na kterou připlouvají odpadky. Snaží se to uklízet, ale je to marný boj. Jinak jsem se měla jako v ráji. Třešničkou mého pobytu byl narozeninový dort, který jsem dostala od personálu.

Hotel mit Wohlfühlatmospähre
Wir haben uns im Hotel wohlgefühlt. Leider ist das Meer in dieser Ecke nicht sauber, da der Müll und zum Teil auch Vekalien aus einer benachbarten Gegend ins Meer gespült werden. In der Vergangenheit waren wir schon an Stränden in Sansibar und Kigamboni, wo das Wasser deutlich sauberer war. Wir waren deshalb nur einmal im Meer. Der Pool ist leider auch nicht besonders groß und deshalb nur zum abkühlen von uns genutzt worden. Ideal ist die Nähe zum Wasserpark, der vor allem von unserer Tochter heiß geliebt war. Das Büffet am Morgen und am Abend war abwechslungsreich und gut. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Hotelmanager war jeden Tag in der Hotalanlage unterwegs und für die Gäste ansprechbar. Die tansanische Fußballnationalmannschaft war auch in der Hotelanlage. Also alles in allem ein gutes Hotel, mit Außnahme der Meereslage, für die das Hotel aber nichts kann.

Ikke god nok som 4 stjernes hotell!!!!!!!!
Hotellet er praktful (selv om det trenger en skikkelig oppussing) men resten er bare VANVITTIG dårlig. Alt virker så mistenksomt: rommene, dukene, maten, kelnerne, kokkene, madrassene rundt bassenget......etc.Vi kommer aldri til å reise dit igjen!!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!!!

Relaxen & Entspannen in ganzen Zügen.
Wer sich total abschotten und mal einfach alleine sein will oder zu zweit ein Romantsiche Zeit möchte, kann ich das Hotel nur empfehlen. Nicht so viele Menschen, keine Fliegende Händler. Super Service, Saubere Zimmer. Gleich hinter dem Hotel gibt es sogar ein WASSERPARK oder GO KARTS. Abendessen unter einem Baldachin dirket am Meer, Chillen am Pool. Also an sich NICHTS machen....;) Leider ist das Hotel etwas abseits vom Centrum entfernt. Ca. 45min - 1,30 Stunden braucht man in die Stadt, je nach Verkehr der aber ab 7 Uhr - 23 Uhr ziemlich enorm ist. Bars gibt es in der nähe auch, je nach Verkehr ca. 25-40 Minuten Fahrzeit. Clubs gibts nur in der Stadt, die Live Band ist zu empfehlen für Junge Leute aber eher zu langweilig! Lange Strandspaziergänge sind vom Sicherheitspersonal nicht zu empfehlen, was aber total blödsinn ist...Die Menschen sind unglaublich Freundlich und wer jetzt nicht gerade eine 15 lange Yacht vor dem Hotel ankert oder mal ausnahmsweise seine Goldene Rolex im Zimmer lässt ist alles Yeasy. Haben sogar dirket von den Fischern Fisch gekauft und im Hotel zubereiten lassen. Also ziemlich Entspannt das ganze. Wer gerne läuft sollte es nur am Strand machen die Straßen sind nicht zu empfehlen. Liegt aber hier an den Autofahrern ;) Aber im Großen und Ganzen ist das Hotel der Wahnsinn. Es dauert halt alles etwas länger aber daran sollte man sich in Afrika gewöhnen.

Super Hotel - Traumstrand
Als Abschluss unserer Rundreise durch Tansania haben wir im Kunduchi Beach Hotel eine erstklassige Unterkunft gefunden. Traumhaft war das Dinner im Kerzenschein direkt am Indischen Ozean. Leider sind entspannte Strandspaziergänge nicht möglich, weil es zu Überfällen gekommen ist und der Security-Mann eindringlich davor warnt. So ist man - im abseits gelegenen Hotel - ein wenig gefangen. Das Preisniveau ist relativ hoch. Wer in Dollar bezahlen möchte, sollte große Scheine dabei haben. Bei kleineren Banknoten wird der Umrechnungskurs schlechter. Das Personal ist sehr, sehr aufmerksam. Wir durften unser Zimmer kostenlos bis zum Nachmittag nutzen, weil unser Flieger erst am Abend startete.

Supert hotell
Kjempe fint hotell rett ved stranden. Kelnere som varter deg opp overalt. Fine rom med aircondition og en fantastisk balkong med en seng på som er kjempe deilig på kvelden. Vi forlot ikke hotellet pga at vi hadde det så fint der. (Var der kun 2 dager på vei til Serengeti)
