Close to central station

Close to central station and the red light district the hotel is dated and needs upgrading. But it's location can't be beat. The staff was helpful and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

We had a great time got 2 see everything.. Hotel in a great location. Hotel was clean & plenty of hot water... cant say anything bad about it was it was all good...

Pros: Location!!
Cons: improving staff / guests interactions...
Location: Tons of eateries, shopping, entertainment, and tour options just a short walk from hotel, and right on the edge of the red light district
Great location, clean and comfy property, and b'feast a good value. I was willing to accept a property whose furnishings were a bit dated for the ideal location. And Tulip Inns' location is ideal..... Be ready for a labyrinth of hallways with stairs. I was please to see staff cleaning common areas daily whereas i guess my only dissatisfaction with Tulip Inn was with some of the front desk staff. A few of the front desk staff were friendly and approachable, and when returning from a day of site seeing, would welcome me back and ask how my day was going. And a few other front desk staff rarely connected with me or other guests. Housekeeping and b'feast staff where great. So overall, Tulip Inn was a good experience, and i would stay at this property again..

Great location

We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is in a great location. Our room was on the 3rd floor. Good clean room, bathroom with a shower, the only downside was the window, the view was bricks, but then again we wasn't there to stare out of the window. My parents room was on the ground floor, room 30. Beware if you stay in this room, as when you open the door, do not do what my father did, and fall straight down the 2 steps that lead you into the room. There was no warning sign on the door. This room is large, clean, with a bath and shower in the bathroom, loads of space and a table with 2 chairs. We would definately stay in this hotel again.

Staff very friendly and helpful and quick if you had a problem, breakfast ok but better to eat out, hotel really needs updating, close to shops, bars, restaurants, if you can do late checkout worth the 25 euros, good to stay if you just want cheap

Safe not bolted down,saw mice in the restaurant, really noisy room, curtains would not shut, tv remote not working shower was really bad!

Great location - Rude Reception Staff + MICE!

Pros: The location is amazing. Right between Dam Square and Red Light District.
Cons: Mice, Staff, Beds were 2 singles pushed together
Location: Right inbetween RLD and dam Square, amazing location.
After checking in we were sent the long why by staff to our room. After putting our stuff away we found a much quicker way to the reception - However when going down the stairs we saw a mouse which was VERY close to the eating area and what I imagine to be the kitchen. I raised this with reception and the young Asian woman said they must be running away from poison. Sure. After going about our business for the evening we returned and our key cards wouldn't get us into the rooms. I went downstairs and told the same woman who told me I must of put it by my phone to wiped the card and not to do it again. Kind of rude but OK I obliged and went back upstairs. The keycards didn't work again and they had been in my hand the whole time. I went back downstairs again and told a man (As the woman was speaking to another couple). When the man told the woman she frowned and shouted something in either Dutch or Chinese then slammed the cards back down on the counter after scanning a new set. Very Rude.
