Very nice hotel with large and comfortable rooms. Free bottle water everyday. Pretty views from the high floors. If the guests can adjust the room temperature to a comfortable level, it would make my stay a pleasant one.

Fast check in, and upgrade my room when I asked for quite and higher level. Hotel is located in the city centre, very convenient . Room is spacious, nice tub. This hotel is not brand new hotel but the quality is beyond the price. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and stay again next time.

Don’t stay in this hotel
Old building and furniture. The worst reception I’ve gotten in any hotel. I ordered shrimp ceaser salad and the shrimp was raw. I ordered spaghetti bolognese that stinks.The lady at the reception was rude and probably was swearing in her language. I must return to the city and I will book in a serviced apartment.

Property is centrally located, the rooms are large and well-maintained but the property is old. Western breakfast is average at best. For all the intercontinental hotels I stay in this one is my least favorite.

Won’t be back!
This is my 2nd time staying in this hotel for business! Firstly I booked my hotel over a month before my arrival! Only to find out that they only had smoking rooms available. Because I don’t smoke this is not an option! I had to wait 2 hours to get a room which they said was an upgrade! It wasn’t. The aircon didn’t work in the main part of the room only the bathroom! The overall room smells terrible! The internet drops constantly so you can’t work properly on your lap top! The hotel it’s self I felt had really gone down hill in the last 6 months since my 1st stay! I won’t be coming back for business and have already searched other options! The only plus is the breakfast.

Great Hotel, especially for China.
The hotel is close to many places that are nice to see. There are several malls that are close for good food, including some nice indian food. The hotel also features a decent little beer place downstairs, no food just snacks but the draft beer is pretty good.

Luxury and value
Though slightly dated, the rooms and facilities were top notch. I received an upgrade to a higher floor which provided an amazing view of the city and harbor. The city is quiet at night, even with 6 million residents, so walking the various squares and roundabouts is quiet pleasant. The value for the stay was excellent and you would be hard pressed to find a room at an intercontinental in other cities for anywhere near the price at this location.

Horrible Service
My first time in this Hotel and will never stay again. First of all Internet is charged a high price and does not work. Speed is ridiculous. Also, on check in they did a pre-authorization from my credit card (standard procedure) but on my first lunch at the hotel they said I could not charge to my room because pre-authorization was not enough. Anyways, small things that happened everytime we needed something. Dalian has many other options that are better than this for the same price.

A good alternative to the older 5 star hotels
A great alternative to the older 5 star hotels in Dalian. Booked a superior room which in all aspects was superior. Great comfort and atmosphere, quiet, well equipped (DVD, safe, ameneties), very spacious (huge actually) and a very comfortable bed. Good central location. Friendly and accomodating staff although way too many glitches in the actual service offered. Poor/no shop for daily items like cigarettes, magazines or newspapers. Overall great value for money though.
