Beautiful little hotel
Very attentive staff, good food, comfortable and clean rooms...and for any wine enthusiasts the range and quality is the best i've experienced in many years. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained with lots of walks. I can highly recommend.

Cozy, relaxed venue with excellent food. Finding a quality venue that was fully dog friendly was a deciding factor for us.

An unexpected gem
We booked this at the last minute after searching for dog-friendly properties. The hotel and local area is beautiful. There are so many places to enjoy a long walk without traffic, and the area is really peaceful. The dog is truly dog friendly, and it was enjoyable being able to sit in the cost lounge area, enjoying a cocktail without having to worry about the dog getting restless in the room. The staff are friendly, and special mention to Richard - barman, sommelier and cocktail maker extraordinaire! He was happy to make cocktails that were off menu after finding out a little about what sort of flavours we liked. The only very minor thing we would change would be the pillows. They are feather and we both found them a little uncomfortable, but it was a small issue in the context of everything else. Delicious fresh, hot breakfast and a good continental selection too.

Outstanding for dog owners. Food is excellent and we had an unexpectedly good bottle of Italian Tuscan red wine. Staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Our room was small but reasonably comfortable. I found the bed small (I am 6'5" tall).

Great wee hotel, friendly staff and fab food
Lovely hotel with great staff and excellent food. Our dog was very welcome and the room was large, clean and well decorated. We stayed for 2 nights and the menu changed each night. Dining was in the bar or restaurant and was relaxed and the food beautifully cooked. Good choice of wines, though they seem expensive compared to the food price. Staff were really friendly and knowledgeable and made you feel very welcome. Will definitely be back!

Charming hotel set in lovely gardens
The hotel is built from rose coloured stone and is set in lovely gardens. Th staff are very helpful and clearly feel pride in the high standard of food and accommodation they provide. Our room had a little conservatory attached and access to a private garden as well but the lock was broken (seemingly by the previous guests), so they gave us complementary drinks in the main garden to make up. The room is beautifully furnished and the bed very comfortable indeed. The meals feature local produce and are beautifully prepared. This was a most enjoyable and luxurious stay at a first rate hotel. We would love to stay here again.

Excellent country house hotel, a short but lovely dinner menu and the best breakfast menu I have ever seen. They changed my room as I needed an accessible shower, nothing was too much trouble and I am looking forward to staying there in the near future.

Dog Friendly Country Inn
Stayed in room number 3 with a lovely view of the garden. Ate dinner at the hotel. Food was very good! the fresh bread was amazing. Breakfast the next day was also very good. Bed was very comfortable. Furnishings are a bit dated, but fit in with the country inn feel. The hotel is VERY dog friendly, so be aware if that's not your thing.

A Delightful Stay
We absolutely loved Trigony House. We had the garden room and it was great. We had our little Cavalier King Charles with us and she was made very welcome. Trigony House will be our first choice next time we are in the area

Friendly country hotel
Well worth a visit and a great stopping off point if you're on a long journey to Northern Scotland. Food is excellent and hotel has a friendly atmosphere. Room was very comfortable although bathroom was a little too small and in hindsight we should have gone for a superior room.

Lovely little bnb that is absolutely worth the trip. If you're anywhere near Thornhill, Trigony is a Must Stay. Beautiful garden view from our room. Excellent restaurant on premises. Very attentive. We wish we could spend a few days there

Wonderful small hotel
We stayed for one night enroute to the Notth. Could have stayed st this fantastic little hotel far longer. Wonderful freshly made meals from local produce by Adam the chef/owner. Super dog friendly with great welcome pack and loads of really thoughtful touches. If traveling with a dog this hotel is number one they are not just accepted but welcomed with open arms. All the staff are brilliant, so friendly and helpful. Thank you everyone we will be back.

WE had an amazing stay at Trigony House, and would have stayed longer had we known it was so good. Our room looked over the imense garden area, and was beautiful. The property was built in 1938, and is a classic B&B, surrounded by greenery. A little traffic noise in the morning but nothing excessive. The property is owner by a family, and one of the family is a professional chef. Breakfast was excellent. The evening meal was very good, and the menu had a great selection. It helps to have a professional chef in the kitchen.
