El hotel esta ubicado en un área tranquila y segura. El personal del hotel es excelente, muy servicial. Realizaron la coordinación para recogernos del aeropuerto y nos recomendaron excelentes opciones de comida, como entrega al hotel cuando estábamos cansadas y restaurantes en el área. El desayuno era delicioso, con opciones variadas cada día. Servicio en el cuarto. El día que nos fuimos de excursión nos prepararon un lunch box para el desayuno. El cuarto estaba limpio y el mantenimiento diario era excelente. Las áreas comunes muy acogedoras. Nos sugirieron un servicio de lavandería excelente. Si regreso escogería el mismo hotel.

The rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, there was shampoo and soap in the bathrooms. Always safe, as the front door was kept locked and you were buzzed in. I can’t say enough good things about the staff - super helpful, delivered breakfast to your room each morning, gave maps with advice on where to go in the area and arranged taxis. Would definitely stay again!

Great stay even for US standards. A little off the beaten path, but clean, safe, and accommodating hotel with very hospitable staff. Packed us a boxed lunch since our tour to Machu Picchu left early in the morning. Would definitely stay here again without even thinking about staying somewhere else, if I ever get the chance to go back to Cuzco.

We loved it. Spotless place, helpful and friendly staff. They kept our luggage during our trekking trip with no cost at all. We totally recommend it.

Good property overall, location is a little out of the way and do not get room 105, its connected to the lobby and makes for a loud noisy night and early morning.

The staff is very friendly and the rooms are cleaned nicely daily. Our toilet leaked a little and the water smelled but we kept the door to the bathroom closed and it was no problem. They also cleaned daily so the smell was not an issue. We loved staying here.

Friendly Stay
The staff was friendly and helpful with local information. They even provided a to go breakfast at five in the morning for us as we departed early for a tour. The regular breakfast was well made and we certainly enjoyed it. There is a lot of echo in the center part of the hotel and it can be a little loud, but not terrible.

Highly recommend this hotel. Excellent location and breakfast was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and we returned to this hotel even though we had paid for another hotel. We felt welcome!

Average hotel - close to airport
I made the booking in AUS dollars but was charged in USD on arrival, the local area isn’t great but close to airport, free taxi to airport but these are unlicensed taxis and will not drop you at the airport but on the main road outside the airport to avoid the airport charge. The room and breakfast is basic but the staff are very friendly, an average hotel

Excellent staff was very helpful with everything. Great location 10-15 minutes walk uphill from Plaza de Armas (or 5 soles taxi ride). Quiet and very confortable beds. Nice breakfast area with eggs, pancakes, crepes made to order. Nicest small independent hotel that we’ve stayed in all of Peru (we are Peruvian residents). Definitely will stay again.

I was so happy to check in to this hotel. We stayed at some pretty crappy places in Peru and this place was a breath of fresh air. Everything was clean, well appointed, and cozy. The lobby area is nice and sunny, the front desk person and other staff were very kind. The location is up the hill and away from the street noise of the busier parts of Cusco. We had an internal window, like most places we stayed. This makes for a very noisy experience as guests talk and move about the hotel. This noise was the case in each place we stayed. The breakfast is included in the price, but the people running the breakfast area seem disorganized and flighty. It took three requests and almost 30 minutes to get coffee. There were rarely dishes or silverware available, and they often ran out of bread, fruit, or yogurt. But for the price (free), it was worth it. If I am ever back in Cusco, I would definitely stay here.

Clean room and helpful staff. We got a room on 4th floor but there were no elevators. It wasn't fun climbing up the stairs especially while dealing with altitude sickness. The road to the hotel from the central area was also pretty steep, not an easy walk.

We stayed at El Mariscal on our first night in Cusco and we would had stayed longer if they had availably during our acclimitazation. It seemed like a family run business and the hostess being very friendly and accommodating. We were able to check in early around 8. The hotel room was big, had a warm shower, fridge, microwave, and good internet connection. The room can get chilly as with most hotels in Cusco but a heater was provided to help heat the room and there were extra blankets. Breakfast was included with eggs cooked fresh. The location was in a neighborhood area and a dead end street which helps with the city noise, but you'll still hear sounds from the outside such as barking of the many ferral dogs and other parts of the hotel. Overall the hotel was good value and delivered on the amenities.

It was an amazing experience. The staff was very friendly and the hotel is beautiful. It was very clean and breakfast was great. My only complaint is that it can get a little noisy at times since sound seems to echo throughout the whole facility. Otherwise it was an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

Fantastic accommodation with outstanding staff
After moving from place to place for weeks we were so glad to finally stay in one hotel for 4 nights without packing/unpacking. Mariscal was an excellent choice to enjoy our longest stay in the end of our trip to Peru. We loved everything about the hotel: its beautiful cheerful décor and colors,the location (away from crowded centre but close enough to walk), spacious and spotlessly clean rooms with comfortable beds, included breakfast and of course the incredible staff and customer service! In the room there was plenty of closet space for all your things, separate area with the sink, nice shower with great water pressure/hot water, plushy towels, fridge, microwave (perfect for those delicious 2-3 soles empanadas from nearby bakery). Wi-Fi worked fantastic. I was so glad that I read suggestions of other travelers to look for a hotel with heaters while in Cusco. During the day it was hot and sunny but by the evening shorts and tank tops were quickly replaced with jackets and winter hats :) Wow, I couldn't believe how essential it was to have the heater ON in the evening and night in order to feel comfortable (and be able to come out of shower) :) What really stands out is caring staff and customer service - genuine kindness, smiles and assistance without limit! We had a wonderful stay and of course staff made it even more memorable. Would stay here again and recommend to others without hesitation!

The hotel is in good condition with a very hospitable staff. They really need to improve on the insulation of the hotel, the room was very cold. The hot water was inconsistent. I'm glad they provided a portable heater in the room.

Service and solitude in Cusco!
The service at El Mariscal Cusco was fantastic. They keep an attendant ready 24/7, which is very helpful given the travel times into/out of Cusco. We had a lost luggage problem and the staff was so gracious. They helped us call the airline (every day for three days) until our luggage arrived. They arranged taxis and other services. They truly go above and beyond. The accommodations are quite comfortable with warm blankets, in room heaters, and hot water as needed. They always have purified drinking water and coca tea on hand. The location is on a quiet street, away from the honking horns and foot traffic of other areas.
