Jim at the front desk was very rude. Our door would not open. We explained (over 3 trips down to the front desk) that it wasnt the keys malfunctioning, it was the door entry unit itself. He finally came up to the room, attempted to use a key, only to find the battery had died in the card reader. He needed to go back down and get a master key while we waited in the hall with our two small children. The phones did not work in room 303 or 306. Elevator sounded awful.

There was a homeless man sleeping in the stairwell. Hotel is very unkept and did not appear very clean. Carpets and bedding had stains. Elevator was very “jerky” and did not feel safe. Overall, this was a horrible stay and we will never stay here again.

Some things in the room we’re definitely worn in, like the blinds and curtains. They had some holes. But overall it was clean, inviting, and great service.

Ive stayed here evertime I'm in Crystal lake. Pet friendly, close to restaurants and stores, but small pool. We got the room with the jacuzzi. Smelled a little wet in the room. Other than that everything was good.

Watch before staying here!!!
My wife and I stayed there for a quick overnight get away, We reserved Room 223 which had a hot tub. The tub was missing 4 of the directional jets and when the tub was turned on, water went everywhere. Second is the bathroom door would not latch closed. Third, when i turned on the shower, it was in a water saver setting and the neck was cracked and shrayed water all over the plave in the bathroom. Finally the beds in this location are rock hard and very uncomfortable. I spoke with Jim at the front desk about the room and he was did not want to listen and immediately kept over talking me and did not like it when i called him out. Also spoke with the manager Susanne there, she said she would review and call me back, never did. When i spoke with her a week later, said everything in the room is fine. I took pictures of the jets and went to a local supply store and they even said the inserts are missing. I tried adding photos and the app would not allow it.

Room was clean but dated. Phone service in the room did not work and reported this to the front desk. Was told the hotel had been hit by lightening the previous week and it hadn’t been fixed yet. If you needed anything you had to go down to the front desk. Sink had huge crack. It did not leak but we were not moved to another room when this was reported to the front desk I was told they would put a note on it. No way that recently happened. Did not receive room service the 2 of the 3 nights we stayed. The first night when we arrived the room had been cleaned. The 2nd and 3rd nights no room service at all. Went to front desk to inquire if room service was available and was told it was. The desk attendant asked if we placed a do not disturb sign out on the door - we had not and there was not one in the room. Had to request towels 2 of 3 nights we stayed. Waste paper baskets were not emptied. I read reviews which were mixed. My suggestion would be to not stay here.

My family & friends ONLY go to this facility when in town, and it’s the best place for my pup. She loves this place, blind but knows her way around now.This is my first “post pandemic” visit in years but greatly appreciated the breakfast!!!! 😍😍

The lock on our door didn’t work and when we called someone to come fix it, we were told, “yeah, the hinges are on backorder, you just have to lift it up and really slam it shut”. Our shower head was falling off the wall. Our kids were excited about the pool area but it was disgusting. I would not stay here again.

Not a great place to stay. Beds were terribly uncomfortable and the mattress was wrapped in plastic. Every time I moved it made a crunching sound. Refrigerator barely worked even after turning it all the way up. Toilet kept clogging and shower curtain rod was partially pulled out if the wall. The pool was very tiny. On the up side, hotel was easy to get to, nice parking lot, the elevator worked and so did the ice machine. We were there with a group and everyone was sore or stiff from the awful quality of the beds.
