The staff were very pleasant and helpful . The bed was comfortable in a good sized room warm and cosy. We had breakfast each morning and ate once in the evening all very enjoyable especially the homemade bread . Lovely to see so many dogs . Thank you

The room (6) was just large enough, clean & tidy and the bed comfortable. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. My only niggle was breakfast on Saturday morning:- it was freshly cooked but the bacon was drying out, the egg yolk was not soft. As it took 25 minutes to arrive, I suspect it had been kept under a heating lamp until others were prepared and mine was served at the same time. I mentioned this Sunday morning and breakfast was as it should be. There is very comfortable seating near the bar and there is seating outside plus s a play area for children. The premises are just a short walk to the cliff top and access to the beach.

Nice two day break

Really nice pub, food was lovely. Breakfast really nice. Good location about 1.5 miles outside Cromer . Short walk to the beach from the pub. Room was ok, nice shower room, clean and spacious. Only downside for me was that i booked a large room with king double bed, the room was large enough, but got two singles beds with hard mattresses pushed together. Apart from that, we had a really nice stay.

Expedia needs to make it clear this property is in Overstrand and NOT Cromer. There is another property in Cromer with the same name and the owner there said she is fed up with people coming to her at least 3 times per week. When I reached Cromer by train I had to get a taxi to Overstrand to reach this property. On the positive side the hotel is well managed and the member of staff who dealt with me was efficient, polite, friendly and very organised. I understand it is a family business. I had an evening meal and it was well presented and it was a good sign that many local people were socialising there on a Friday evening. My room was clean and had a nice bathroom but the following morning there was no hot water in the shower. My breakfast was well presented and and good quality. The location is near to the local beach and one has a sense of a very clean and community focused village. I'd gladly return and thank the young staff member who was so very professional. Please expedia, make it clear this is a property in Overstrand and not Cromer!

Superb value. Lovely room that is comfortable clean and quiet after 11pm - It is a pub, so no complaints here! The breakfast is one of the best anywhere, especially 'The Continental' - highly recommended, as is the Welsh Rarebit. The evening menu may look pub grub, but the quality of cooking and presentation is (good) restaurant class, but without the price. Been here before and will stay again. Love it.
