I enjoyed my say in this hotel. It is clean, modern and the room was large and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The hotel is located next to the train station making the connection to Gatwick airport very easy and direct.
Perhaps not the nicest hotel I've stayed in but for the price can't grumble. If you want luxury you're gonna have to pay a bit more but for somewhere just to lay your head for the night its ok. Parking was a bit crazy, I got lucky and found a spot straight away but for many it seemed to be an issue. Overall don't set your sights to high and you'll be fine, after all, you get what you pay for.
Chose to stay and park car at Ibis for an early flight from Gatwick. 6.00 AM shuttle to the airport fine. Return shuttle timetable indicated 22.00 from Airport to Hotel. On a cold wet evening and after a long walk to bus stop the bus was a no-show. Phoned the hotel and told that the next shuttle would be at 10.40. The prospect of sitting in the cold/ wet for 40 min. on the "promise" of a shuttle, stretched my patience too far - got a taxi instead.
We chose to stay at this Hotel due to its location near to Three Bridges Railway Station due to us arriving by train. We visited Pevensey Castle and later went to Eastbourne for a couple of hours (I work for Govia Thameslink so get free rail travel in this part of England)
This is a barely adequate CP hotel having just stayed in the CP at Madrid the previous evening. It is is need of a total refurbishment and the odd lick of paint and really strange decor with mismatched furniture and garish carpets on the ground floor don't help. Upstairs the carpets are really worn and the room that we had must have been the smallest on any inventory. Having asked for a room close to the lifts because of our mobility problem, it was the furthest away that it was possible to find. The car park is still completely insecure - after at least a year and the noise level of the piped music at breakfast required you to shout to be heard staff
Crawley is in West Sussex, and a main center of industry and employment approximately midway between London and England's south coast. England's second-largest airport, Gatwick, is located north of town.
