To be fair I boooked at only a few hours notice. Expedia said there were only a few rooms left, but that was patently not true as the hotel was almost empty. Still, nice room.... apart from an interconnecting door (locked of course) to the room next door, with a guy constantly on his phone. It was like being in the same room as him, meaning loud Spanish conversations plus his habbit of singing ditties to himself. Not nice.
Anyway, he left the next day. The pillows are too puffy. I know that sounds odd, as the usual problem is pillows like dead gophers.... small and limp. These ones are too big to lie comfortably on your side (I have wide shoulders, so it isn't that). Weirdly, these were ultra long pillows (nice).... but stuffed into regular length pillow cases! Meaning that about a third of their length is caseless. A bit like a porn star wearing a minature size condom. The only other complaint was the luke warm water. After a hard day fly fishing in cold water you want a hot shower. This, alas, was not to be.
But in other respects the hotel was fine. No problems parking. Close to downtown. Friendly and helpful staff, which reflects the Patagonian character anyway - they're just nice people. Breakfast is good by any standard, with a wide range of cold cuts, cereals, toast, scrambled eggs, and loads of juices, coffee, and tea. Obviously I would prefer bacon, eggs, and sausages, but that problem lies with me, not the hotel. Hope this review helps - PJL
