"Currently under construction, so not all amenities are available at the current moment, but this hotel is great for if you just need a safe affordable place to sleep. Massive sturdy building. Probably a great place to be if there was a tornado. Every staff person i have encountered was very kind and helpful. Would recommended to anyone traveling on a budget. Good value for the price. "

"This was easily one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever survived. Check-in started strong with after waiting 30+ min staff telling me I didn’t even have a reservation of the room with garden tub (shoutout to Expedia for apparently having imaginary photos of rooms). After settling, we got a room that smelled like a mix of gas station weed and straight-up farts. Amenities? Questionable. The hot tub had commitment issues (half the jets didn’t work), and the “heated” pool felt like an ice bath training session. The thermostat in the room was broken, so we got to enjoy a full-on sauna experience all night—paired nicely with highway noise loud enough to simulate sleeping on the shoulder. Then came the 1:30 AM fire alarm. We all marched down three flights of stairs and stood around for 20 minutes with zero staff in sight. Turns out someone’s vape caught fire… which we learned from the person responsible in the elevator later. Reassuring. Breakfast was the final boss: broken cereal dispenser, coffee that tasted aggressively like hazelnut regret, and warm yogurt (??). Honestly, I would’ve felt safer and more comfortable sleeping in my car. 0/10, would not return. "

"This was the second most best up place I’ve ever stayed at in the USA. No elevator and no rooms available on the first floor so my back hurts from carrying my super heavy suitcase up the stairs. It barely passed the test as somewhere I would sleep as it had clean sheets and most things appeared to be wiped down, but the floors (although uncarpeted which I greatly prefer as it avoids terrible odors etc)were pretty nasty with all kinds of smudges, scrapes, goobery stuff, the walls were disgusting and looked like they hadn’t been painted/refinished in decades, the hallways were disgusting carpet, the office chair had dozens of multicolored blotches, scratches etc etc…the list goes on. It was the cheapest hotel with ratings above 7.0 (it was right at 7.0) which is why I chose to stay there but I think I’d prefer to spend $25 more for a better hotel. I will mention that there was a huge dumpster in the parking lot which might mean they’re finally renovating something but my room was certainly not one of them as of yet."

"This is a great place to stay depending on what your expectations and needs are. It is not fancy. When we pulled up it must have rained a lot because the back yard and thr back of the driveway had large puddles. The inside of the house is not fancy but it is clean, the place is pet friendly with a fenced back yard, and super reasonably priced for being so close to the dunes. As we were really only needing a place to sleep and a place for our chill dog to relax for a couple hours while we saw a concert after a day at the dunes, it was perfect and met all of our needs. The host is very nice and communicates well. Overall I would reccomend the Bluebird!"
