Private Compound With Large House and Separate Guest House. The Grounds Large monthly discount. The 1/2 acre grounds include 3 avocado trees, along with lemons, limes, oranges, berries and more. You can make guacamole from what you find in the yard. Enjoy coffee and wine outside where the weather is always moderate. Have a bonfire at night if you want. The grounds are very well lit. Modern security system with cameras. There is no parking on the grounds. No steps on property. The House When you're not enjoying the grounds, relax in the enormous house with a central atrium. If you want a little privacy, you can escape to the casita (guest house) which has its own entrance, bedroom, bathroom, sitting room and kitchen. Each of the bedrooms in the main house also has its own private en-suite bathroom. There is also an extra half bathroom, with washer and dryer. Cotacachi Cotacachi is a compact and colorful walkers' paradise. It is full of restaurants, shops (especially leather shops), cafes and markets. The locals will greet you, so you are going to want to learn to say at least "hola" in Spanish. There is also a large and diverse ex-pat community. You will find yourself striking up conversations with them if you go to the coffee shop across from the house (Red Rabbit). They will give you great recommendations for local trips and restaurants! There are other cities and many things to do within a short drive. Location/Cotacachi/Ecuador \- Cotacachi is a 1.5 hour drive (around $60) from Quito \- Quito, Ecuador is a direct flight from Houston (5.5 hours) Miami (a little over 4 hours) \- Round trip flights start from $400-$700 from SF or NY on US airlines (American, Delta, United) \- Moderate temperature year-round – no need for heat or AC. (72° during the day down to 50° at night). It is in a fantastic location, close to everything but secluded from street noise. We travel full time and stay in lots of STR. This one is far and above one of the best. It has comfortable furniture, lots of blankets and an extremely well stocked kitchen. We love the fruit and avocado trees. Paulina the property manager is easy to contact and very helpful. We stayed nearly 3 months total. This must be the nicest rental in the whole area. Comfortable furniture, nice linens, an extremely well stocked kitchen and close to everything. Because the house is behind a walled fence and surrounds by mostly residential it was very quiet. Internet is reliable and the local property manager is extremely responsive.
