I chose this beautiful property for many reasons, but found myself with even more having stayed there 3 days. The resort has all the fine finishings, great food, service, scenery, spacious rooms, spa, and huge amounts of attention to detail, etc... The General Manager, gentleman, made my stay feel like i was a VIP. Definitely, on my list of places to return to. Thank you Cala Cuncheddi for your war welcome!!

We arrived very early and the staff made an effort to get us a room asap. We got an upgrade despite being told initially it was booked. The staff were very accommodating and helpful with local restaurant tips and areas to visit. The only issue I have was with the parking and availability.

Staff unfriendly beyond imagination to Americans. Few had any English skills. Shower flooded due to poor design and maintenance. Couldn’t open doors because kitchen smells. No amenities in room. Away from everything. Food is stupid priced and marginal. Breakfast marginal. Car rental was absolute rip off. Charged hundreds over after I left to go home. Hotel set up taxi back to airport and ripped me off. $60 for a $20 ride. NEVER GO THERE. PICK ANYWHERE ELSE. Absolute joke—unless you’re a local maybe… Completely ripped me off all the way around. Terrible experience. TERRIBLE. STAY AWAY

Dear Mr. Thomas, I'm sorry about the unfortunate issues you faced during your stay with us. However, as we always do everything we can to resolve any problems and inconvinences that our guests may encounter, none of these issues were brought to our attention while you were here. I wish you expressed your disappointment directly to us instead of writing a review that also contains false accusations. Our staff is friendly and although not everyone may speak English well, if you had any trouble you could have asked to our front desk where we are all well versed and are always happy to communicate for you and do our best to organize anything our guests need. The amenties we provide are clearly stated so there's no surprises but we do our best to accomodate and find solutions for whatever our guests require. Yes, our location is isolated, but that's no surprise if you check the map before arriving. However our guests come here looking for a 'get away' and a location like ours can't be found in a city center. Furthermore as the car rental company is not an offical service provided by the hotel, they are a trusted agency that we recommend and work with. That said, it is not mandatory to use them and always are willing provide alternative options to best suit the preferences of our guest. But unfortunately, we can't do much for someone who doesn't speak up and express their concerns. Additionally, I'm sorry about the price of the taxi, which is usually 50, but there was an extra charge of 10 (not 20 as you claim) for taxi services during the night shift in which we mistakenly failed to communicate. Once again I apologize for the specific instances you faced and I thank you for all your feedback as we rely on our guests to give us their honest opinions to make us better. Have a nice day :)

The location is gorgeous and the hotel really does have the Wow effect when you first enter the lobby. My first impression was good - the friendly and attentive receptionist Gloria checked us in. After that, the service quality was somewhat inconsistent. I wondered whether it was because the hotel was understaffed. The prices for food were understandably high due to the location but the quality was mostly good. The pool was gorgeous, and the private beach was blissful. I was a little disappointed as I was led to believe that as an Expedia Gold member, I would be given a better room. Our room was on a lower floor, with sliding doors that opened up to the thorough fare - hence not much privacy there.

We planned a trip to Sardinia but this hotel was very far from everything at least 50mins driving. After turning off the main road the drive to the hotel which is about 10mins is very dark and we always felt uneasy.

Beautiful property, delicious food,staff worked hard but service was sometimes slow but always friendly. Breakfast was excellent, proper linen napkins until the last morning which was a shame. Room was very good, clean , comfortable and a good size with plenty of storage and a balcony. Drinks pre dinner were always accompanied by canapés and olives

Loved this stay was modern and clean. Peacful with a private beach. Would definaly go back and would stay here again. Food is good in the hotel and they cater to your needs. Provided us extended checkout brcause our flight wasnt until later in the day. Checkout was at 10am which is too early would suggest to change to 12.

Olbia is awesome!
Gorgeous property and the staff was top notch. Room was lovely and quiet corner suite. Nice breakfast spread. Dinner was fairly priced although a few options in nearby town are worth going to. Il Fare for one.

Perfect refresh after a week-long sail.
Wonderful place with great attention to detail. Everything was incredibly clean and well maintained. The staff was eager to ensure the details were taken care of. From poolside cleanliness to printing something for us, to cold drinks for the beach. Beautiful views from our patio and sunset cocktails made it a perfect stay after a week of sailing around Sardegna.

Amazing overall experience!! The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure everything about my vacation was perfect. I celebrated our anniversary with my girlfriend, and was able to organize a romantic dinner on the beach that we will definitely remember for a long time! I would like to take a moment to thank two waiters, Mattia and Alessandro, for pampering us during that dinner and getting everything ready. The rooms were extremely clean and cozy, and the hotel features breathtaking unobstructed views of the sea and beach. Breakfast and dinner were always served outside, so that guests could fully enjoy the view and summer breeze. Pro tip: dinner is served between 8pm and 9:30pm, try to aim for 9pm because otherwise you might be dealing with a bit too many bees while eating (they go away during sunset). Staff was always very responsive though, obviously not their fault. If you decide to visit Sardinia, you better book this property!

I don't know if they don't like British people, but my 89 year old Mum and I found our one particular waiter quite surley. The other staff were ok, but ...I don't know just wouldn't go back to this hotel as we felt s bit unwelcome. It was chic,bcomfortable and clean though.

Wonderful experience. We didn’t have a rental car because we didn’t get the international drivers license and I do think the stay would be better if we had access to a car. It is 40 Euros to Olbia or the airport one way. There is nothing you can walk to so you end up staying at the hotel. The presentation of available activities could be better organized and explained. We were under the impression our room included a tub from the booking process though and were told there are only 2 tubs in the entire hotel and have to be requested. Not a huge deal since there is an ocean and a pool but I was looking forward to the large tub and was bummed out. The beds are not comfortable at all. Quite hard, but you tend to not mind after spending the day on the beach. We did the wine tasting add on and the couples spa/massage add on and enjoyed each a lot. We also added the food option with dinner which made dinner 30/night instead of 40. We ate there every night and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Beautiful and clean hotel located by the beach 10 min from a small town and 20 min from Olbia. Great arrival with a free upgrade. Rooms are large, clean, modern and well equipped except that there are no coffee machine nor wine. The property’s amenities including the gym, pool, lounges and private beach are extremely well maintained. Parking is very convenient too. The main issue was around service: first, hard to be served in English, no room service available, no coffee machine in room or coffee available in the hotel before breakfast starts at 8 am. Also, restaurant hours are very limited so if you want to snack or have something off restaurants times, it is difficult. Finally, we had to leave 1 day earlier and the hotel wouldnt waive our last night charges. I dont think I would go back as there are so many beautiful places in Sardinia but if the downsides dont bother you, I suggest it.

The hotel was good but a)the shower flooded the bathroom and was told it was a design fault and could not be fixed b) on the beach we wanted to sit in a certain place the lifeguard refused to put up a parasol and chairs and was told to sit elsewhere because he could not be bothered and it was too much effort so much for customer choice c) wanted to go to a market was told there was obe in the next town despite us checking onlube was told it was definitely on. We drove there only to find out it was in the evening not when they said so we waated 2 hours getting there

From the moment we walked in to the hotel everything was just perfect! Hotel location is extremely memorable and right on the beach with private area for residents. Stunning views from the pool area and balcony of the room. The staff at reception, bar, restaurant, pool, beach to housekeeping could not be more helpful and friendly, service was professional and very attentive. The food and wine to die for! There is nothing that I could fault and not enough space here to describe all pros! Highly recommended, worth every penny and for sure will return!

Resort is very nice with a lovely spa, pool area and beach. Lots of areas around the property to relax and unwind. Very nice breakfast offering. Our only issues were the noise outside our room from the air conditioning system which sounded like a jet engine and the challenge with the TV - need more detailed info to operate

They did a very nice job with decor. Room was very comfortable and clean. Never had a problem getting a chair at the beach or pool. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and lunch were good but would recommend not eating dinner at either restaurant. If you like food (my husband is a chef in NYC) the food was some of the worst we had in Italy. We found multiple places in Olbia that were delicious.

Rather remote, no possibility to walk along a promenade to find a bar or alternative restaurant. You definitely need a rental car, no taxi company nearby. Dinner menu limited and uninspiring but breakfast excellent. Hotel very precious about beach towels - you are allowed one a day and have to present a card. Toiletries not replaced after use, we used two tiny shampoo bottles and when room the was cleaned the following day they were not replaced. No shower cap provided. Basin plug leaked and after reporting this it was not repaired.

Beautiful accommodations, wonderful sunset drinks, top notch spa facilities, very helpful and kind staff! We would recommend going to town for dinner rather than the hotel as the food did not meet our expectations, which came as a huge surprise everything else at the resort was so wonderful!

Fantastic hotel... spotlessly clean.
Fantastic hotel with very friendly and welcoming staff. Spotlessly clean. Great buffet breakfast and a fantastic pool. Would have been great to have had in-room tea and coffee making facilities, else 5 star in every category. Unless you are happy to stay within the hotel walls for the duration of your holiday, a hire car is a must to go exploring Sardinia.

Great hotel with friendly staff
The hotel was great. Good views, good location and great pool. The staff were really friendly and nothing was too much. Even more so when we re-booked for 1 night when stranded due to no BA flights following their IT outage. They let us keep our room all day whilst trying to sort out flights back to the UK and could not have been more helpful and accommodating - an example to BA of how customer service should be.

Overall a very nice hotel. Staff throughout were very helpful and friendly, particularly reception and bar staff. Room was modern and very clean. Air conditioning worked very well. Note that the power sockets were 3 pin Type L rather than the usual 2 pin continental plugs. Reception were able to provide an adapter but we got their last one. Pool area nice but unfortunately the pool was too cold to use in late October. Beach area also very nice. In late October Sardinia is very quiet with lots of places closed. Weather was OK for walking and sightseeing but not great for swimming. We went half board. The price for this was very good value at the time we booked. It worked out at around £12 per person for dinner. Dinner was 4 courses. Starter was normally a seafood appetiser or a ham and cheese types dinner, first course of soup or pasta (4 choices), 4 choices of main course and then a dessert buffet. Very good and efficiently delivered. The cost for those not on half board was €60. Location was fairly isolated so wouldn't have been great to drive out for every meal elsewhere. Breakfast was a good mixture of buffet options. We enjoyed the beach and boardwalk at Porto Taverna. The walk from Porto Istana to Porto San Paolo was great. Trips to Capo Testa and La Maddalena were good. A car definitely recommended to get about. Overall a good stay.
