Property has easy access to the beach and a nice pool. Room and bathroom were a nice size, but the amenities were not luxury. The mattress was cheap, rock hard and very uncomfortable. Very dorm room like. Hotel is quite shabby, including in the lobby. Unpleasant smells around every corner. Desperately in need of refurbishing. Staff was abrupt and rude. Watch out for hidden charges. Definitely won’t be back.

El hotel es viejo, con pocas comodidades, la ducha es chica, el cuarto no tiene pava eléctrica ni frigobar. El desayuno es básico. No tiene ascensor. El personal es bastante rudo en su trato con los huéspedes. No volveríamos.

The first night we arrived late and were rushed into the check in by a rude receptionist to a room that smelled sooo bad and had black water come out of the sink, the next day we told them about it and they changed our room with the excuse “ yes some of our room locations have smells” The new room had no smell but had construction in the hallway so we woke up early disturbed by workers being so loud. Overall it was a terrible experience and this hotel seems nice online but a total disappointment in person

They charge extra for the use of sun lounge chairs and umbrellas. These were included as services offered by the hotel but never specified that had an extra cost nor that were free. The hotel should be more clear since it is an important fee you have to pay per day.

Good value hotel close to some lovely beaches
Comfortable hotel with a nice pool and close to some of the nicest beaches on the Costa Smeralda. Not the most luxurious hotel, but well kept with a high standard of cleanliness and pleasant, helpful staff.

The Grand Hotel renigged on our reservation and sent us to Colonna Hotel and Sporting Club. It was a major step-down. so far from the beach that we didn't try to make the long walk because they could not provide accurate directions. No wifi ib room. Rooms were tiny and uncomfortable.

A 3 star hotel for the price of a 5 star. Pool bar service erratic with the manager showing preference for some clients. Sunbeds and umbrella at an additional cost of 35 EUR and not even on the beach. Outdated bathroom with traces of rust and clogged sink.

The hotel is simply idyllic. It’s very well designed with lots of lovely different areas for relaxing/sunbathing and the view is beautiful. The pool is a good size, the sandy beach is lovely and there is a pool bar and a beach cafe. The breakfast choice is very good. We stayed in a classic double room with sea view and couldn’t fault it.

Far from a 4 star hotel, this hotel needs some renovations and updates. The pool and the proximity to the beach are really the selling points. Did not find it was worth the money.

The only good thing is the beach that is close
People ar the hotel doesn’t speack English properly they are not professional, extremely rude , the food at the restaurant is very much average , the staff not nice . Do not go there .

Summer holiday in Porto Cervo
Perfect holiday in Sardinia staying in Grand Hotel In Porto Cervo. Relaxed setting, lovely pool and sun lounge areas throughout the hotel grounds; a stones throw from the sandy beach with its blue waters ideal for swimming and snorkelling; easy access the Porto Cervo harbour and the Maddelena islands; delicious breakfast and dinner; friendly and helpful staff. Boat trip to the islands a must do. Must haves to take include binoculars to watch the super yachts go by and snorkelling kit to swim with the fish. Had a fantastic time and will definitely return to this hotel.

Lovely friendly hotel
Lovely friendly hotel with great pool and beach access. You have to pay for loungers on the beach but it’s worth it. It says the tap water is not drinkable so it would be nice to have some complimentary bottles of water in the room. But otherwise I love this hotel and will go back next year

Nice hotel but with issues
We stayed 4 nights in July. We arrive at midnight as our flight was late, we were taken up a hill to a be shown our room which was quite a trek as we were so tired. Once we got there, the receptionist hurried over to tell us he had given us the wrong room. We trekked back and up the stairs with luggage, only to find this next room had not been cleaned. Finally we were given a 3rd room. The room itself was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast is OK, not much choice of hot food. There were flies everywhere due to the open area used for breakfast. If you want omelette/scrambled, you have to pay extra. One day 2 of our stay, the pool turned green and remained so for the duration of our visit. No apology or explanation was provided. We were given free sun bed and umbrella because of the issues at our check in, which we used once for a few hours. The 'private beach' is in fact a sandy area by the bar, on a small hill above the actual beach, which is not hotel property. We had one dinner included in our booking. The starter was ok, for mains I ordered salad...well, it was a collection of leaves with some processed cheese and no dressing. It was on for 18 EURO, but should have been 1.80 EURO. The man at reception was very helpful and apologised for our room mix up. The ladies at the breakfast were uninterested and looked bored.

Poor decoration, finish was a poor standard, however very clean. Head waiter in restaurant rude to the English customers and to his staff, not engaging or encouraging of his staff. Pool not available on our first day. Quite isolated, restaurant food poor quality and cold. There is another hotel within a 15 min walk, worth a visit along with a couple of other restaurants. Tried not to eat within the hotel.

I don't normally leave reviews.
The hotel has two great restaurants, the staff are very helpful and very good at recommending places to eat and things to do. However the hotel is dated. The rooms are clean, but the beds are cheap and very uncomfortable. The bathrooms are small and the 20 years old. The holiday was fantastic because the place is great, but I would not stop here again.

The staff was really helpful. I had a horrible situation with a "crooked" taxi driver who took me on a "wild goose chase ride" and wanted me to pay the extra money and I refused. The hotel manager paid the difference, although he should not have but none the less, he was a very polite man as was the whole hotel staff.

A little dated but ok
Hotel is ok but has some issues- room very musty AC not great, no safe, hard mattress. We only stayed 2 nights and met our needs but was very expensive for the quality. Everyone was helpful and pleasant , the front desk gave good advice for places to eat. The breakfast was excellent with many choices no complaints there. It has it's own beach but was not awesome, it needed a clean up but then it was Sept so maybe off season.

Perfectly located near the best of Porto Cervo, with outstanding landscaping, pool and outside spaces. Unfortunately, the size, cleanliness and comfort inside the rooms did not match the outside space or the hospitality of the staff. Unsure it meets the space requirement for being a 4 star hotel, let alone justifying the price charged for one night.

Relaxing Mediterranean hotel with great views.
Very comfortable room and excellent facilities- pool and private beach etc. We thought the hotel restaurant very over priced for the standard of cooking- Michelin star prices, but not Michelin standard cooking. It is a kilometre or so out of town, so if walking into town, take a torch! The town attracts the jet set, so prices very expensive compared to other areas of Sardinia

Porto Cervo
The hotel is quite good and I would recommend to anyone going to Sardinia. The staff (Alessio in particular) have been PHENOMENALLY helpful and friendly. It's got its own private beach but that's not necessarily an advantage because beach-hopping is THE way to experience Sardinia. Also, the public beaches are better than the hotel's. Location is quite close to all the attractions so that's a plus.

Our time at the Grand
Arrived after 9.30pm and wasn't expecting to check in and be in time for dinner but reception phoned the restaurant and made a reservation. Overall the location is excellent , stunning views , beautifully kept grounds, various pools , apart from the main, dotted around the resort. It is within walking distance of the new marina and some local restaurants (uphill on return) . Hotel puts on a daily bus to and from old marina. Restaurant was good most of the time but was disappointed a few times . Breakfast was always excellent.We had a superior room which meant we had breakfast in upper restaurant whilst looking out to sea. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Bedrooms would benefit from updating but didn't spoil our time here.

Although we loved our stay at this beautiful hotel in Porto Cervo, we must be honest about the food we had. It needs improvement. Some of the foods we had on the dinner menu didnt have the quality of being freshly made. The menu did state some of the food made be frozen which was unusual for such a higher class hotel but some of the items were tasteless, and tough. However, the breakfast buffet was very good. We would very much like to stay at the hotel again as it very beautiful and everything else was perfect.
