Loved our stay here, staff were really friendly. Lovely and clean rooms. Wish we could take the hotel and the staff all over the world so we could stay in this hotel. Would definitely reccomend.

Nice hotel close to the beach
I stayed at Magnolia with a friend of mine for 10 days. The rooms are basic but very clean and tidy. Breakfast was good. All staff were really nice and welcoming! Quiet area and close to the beach. Would recommend to anyone and will be def back there again!

We arrived and were given a tiny box room with no balcony. This hotel has no aircon which means its absolutely unbearable in the heat. There is steep hill to get to it. The pool was always full so we used the nearby rosamar gardens which saved our holiday. We ate once and weren't impressed. I'm not sure how it gets great reviews. We won't be back

I have stayed in the magnolia before and is a very friendly place in a quiet area of Lloret. Brilliant if wanting relax but with everything on your doorstep

This Hostel has very friendly staff , super breakfast , is clean but basic , Wifi in all rooms, only disturbing thing was is that the Germans have taken over the place, they have been going there many Years and seem to think they own it . No problem if you are German as the staff all speak German too. They were also very loud evenings and very rude to others who they thought did not understand them . And there is no chance to get a room with balcony for this reason.

Excellent accommodation, ambiance and staff
Hostal Magnolia is a wonderful place to stay with warm and friendly staff who really seemed to go the extra mile to welcome you and make you feel at home. Clean, comfortable accommodation; good, traditional cooking and wine is available on a half-board basis. Great to have access to a pleasant garden and small, but perfectly adequate, pool. Big thanks to all the lovely staff for their hospitality, especially Conchi, Bienvenida and Gregorio. For excellent value for money this place is tops!

Well worth the money!!
If you want a break from the UK in a Hotel with little fuss, excellent staff who make you feel welcome, comfortable and not cost the earth I recommend you take a look at Magnolia. Yes, the rooms are a little dated and do not have Air Conditioning but they are clean comfortable and adequate to make life a little easier. The shower is HOT too !! They have outside shutters to keep the rooms really dark and not wake you up too early from the morning sun. The Hotel is situated about 1 minute walk to shops, restaurants, beach and the main thoroughfare to catch a coach to Barcelona etc... but far enough away from the nightlife not to disturb your sleep with the noise or drunken holidaymakers!! If you want to go to the nightclubs its about a 15 minute walk at the other end of the beach. Breakfast is self service and has the usual range and you can have fried eggs, small sausages and omelette cooked to order. It has a pool and sunbeds which we used daily and there was always a space. Holiday makers come back to this Hotel on a regular basis and I can see why. We would return to this Hotel if we went back to Lloret.

Brilliant budget hotel with the best staff
The Magnolia is everything you would want in a budget hotel, yes the furniture might be a little dated and there is no air conditioning or many balconies, but the important things are there. The place is clean and tidy, bed comfortable and the shower powerful and the staff cannot do enough to help you. We turned up late due to problems with the transfer so they starting cooking our dinner at 9.30pm. When I asked for the best way to Barcelona I was shown bus time tables, the tickets were booked for me and I was shown on maps both were to get on nearest the hotel and where we would be dropped off in Barcelona. On our last day we were allowed to use the staff showers as we had to check out at 11 but didn't get picked up until 14.20 so it meant we could still have a morning on the beach. We had a lovely holiday there and would happily go again and recommend it to others.

HOME FROM HOME . Staff are great, near to beach and castle. 5 mins from main shopping and start of bars and restaurants. Would go back in a heartbeat! !!

The owner and her daughter are outstanding. The breakfast staff and the maids work hard and are also friendly. The budget rooms do not have a balcony. They are clean and small with good WiFi and a good TV w/ a large assortment of channels. The bar area and the smallish pool and pool area are very clean and pretty nice. My bed was pretty small. Consider paying a little more for a balcony and a larger bed. It is a short walk to the beach. A nice grocery store is only 50M uphill. A bus to Barcelona and Barcelona airport departs from a strop only 150M away. This is not a luxury hotel but a well maintained older, modest hotel. A good hotel at a great value. I enjoyed my five night stay. Thanks! I will be back.

on arriving very late we received a warm welcome. nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff from the beginning of our trip to the end. as I go abroad frequently I will definitely go back there to the hostel magnolia

Everything was perfect.......but if there was a kettle it would have been more comfort. After long day out you feel like having some hot drinks but unfortunately no kettle in the room had to go downstairs to get hot drinks and of course to pay.

Basic but nice. A* staff.
The staff at this hotel are nothing short of fabulous and really make the hotel. Other than that the hotel is acceptable but really needs a bit of investment to make it worth the money. No air conditioning meant we had to leave the windows wide open which wasn't good for my 1.5year old as it was very noisy from the bar/pool area and passers by. The rooms were very dated and basic - not even a tea/coffee tray, one of the walls was covered in drink marks/stains, and the bathroom could have done with re-grouting at least. The hotel is conveniently placed for the beach, shops etc and not right in the centre of all the late night activity so I'm sure the noise was not as bad as it could have been but I wouldn't generally suggest Lloret de mar as a destination with children. The hotel itself serves basic but very good value for money food and the bar area is cozy and friendly. The pool is basic but clean and again not great for young children as it's small and deep but my son enjoyed it anyway with his dad. The rest of the hotel is convenient and has everything it needs and I can't stress how much the staff really did make our holiday memorable - they were fantastic with my son - he loved them, especially Goyo who mainly runs the bar area but appears to do everything else too! My son still talks a few Spanish words now were home and still talks about the staff, so clearly he had a lovely time!

A great place to stay with really nice staff. The food was very good value (I had breakfast and evening meal) and was served in a delightful shady garden. The hotel is very close to the beach and to a truly outstanding cliff pathway. A real gem in a resort that is far nicer than its 1970s reputation. Would go again.

Fantastic budget option with friendly staff!
I had a very pleasant stay (albeit brief) in this cosy family owned hotel! The staff were very pleasant and it was located very close to the beach! The price is great for what you get - the only issue (which is a common issue in hotels all around Spain in this price point) is that the rooms have thin walls - so when other guests are arriving late to the hotel, or rising early in the morning, you may hear them as if they were in your room. That said - earplugs were an easy fix and that didn't take away from the rest of the fantastic atmosphere the hotel creates!

Home from Home
The Hostal Magnolia is a friendly guest house located only minutes away from the beach. The staff are all brilliant, they couldn't do enough to help us, especially Goyo who ensured I got a hot chocolate before bed despite the fact he had already closed up the bar for the night. We were made to feel like family during our stay, even getting an invite to the owners Birthday Party. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this guest house to anyone wanting a home from home feel to their holiday.

I would recommend this hotel....the people there are amazing...very helpful and kind. The hotel has everything you need for summer holiday. Also the beach is less than 5 min walking distance from the hotel.

Amazing Staff
Rooms are spotlessly clean, they are basic but have everything you need, a comfortable bed, wardrobe with lots of hanging space (hangers provided) the bathroom has a shower and the towels were changed daily, what more could you need! The staff are terrific and go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. If you are looking for luxury this won't be for you but if like us you're looking for a cheap break you won't find better! We will return.

Friendly, smallish (36 rooms) family run Hotel
Welcoming and friendly staff in a well maintained hotel. I stayed for a week in May 2014 and enjoyed it a lot. Good breakfast and a very reasonably priced meal at night. Soup, cold and warm buffet with fruit to finish. 8 euro.

Overall pleasantly surprised by the combined stay and half board deal. Though we enjoyed having a balcony, it was very noisy, as it was right next to the elevator shaft. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Ich habe 1980 meinen ersten Urlaub im Vorgängerhotel „Sanco“ gemacht und dort meine große Liebe kennengelernt. Jetzt 42 Jahre später, haben wir dies zum Anlass genommen, einen Urlaub im Magnolia mit Halbpension zu buchen, dort, wo im Prinzip alles für uns begann. Dort angekommen, wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen und unsere Geschichte machte es auch für den Besitzer zu einem besonderen Aufenthalt. Die Zimmer waren einfach, aber absolut top sauber! Das Frühstück war spartanisch, die Backwaren sehr lecker, der Kaffee aus dem Vollautomaten lecker. Nur die über dem gesamten Zeitraum gleichbleibenden drei Sorten frischer Aufschnitt, das war dann schon etwas einfallslos. Käse, Kochschinken und eine Art Jagdwurst. Das größte Problem war das gebuchte Abendessen. Es gab keinen Koch mehr im Haus. Dies wurde uns auch bei der Ankunft direkt mitgeteilt. Durch Corona, kein Personal, aber Goyo der Barkeeper wird euch zubereiten was immer ihr wollt. Damit fing abends das Dilemma an. Dosenessen, Fertiggerichte, Mikrowellenessen, es war bis auf wenige Ausnahmen frischem Fisch nur fertigessen. Weiße Bohnen in Tomatensoße mit Frikandel, Bratkartoffeln in Olivenöl "gekocht".Goyo mag ein guter Barkeeper sein, aber seine aufgezwungene Rolle als Koch, war sehr schlecht. Der Fehler lag nicht an ihm, sondern am Besitzer. Laut Aussage waren wir die letzten, die Halbpension gebucht haben. Ich wünsche mir für die noch kommenden Gäste, dass es auch wirklich so war!

Liebe Familie, es tut uns wircklich leid das Sie so unzufrieden sind. Unsere Hostal Magnolia hat ab dieses Jahr 2022 keine Küche mehr una alle Zimmer werden verkauft nur mit Früstük. Wir haben Ihnen das Abend essen in unsere bar angeboten weil Sie Gäste sind die wir schon so lange kennen so wie andere auch die uns zeit sehr lange Zeit besuchen. Die Halbpension würde Ihne angeboten wiei es auch viel williger ist als hätten Sie extra etwas bei uns bestellt. Es tut uns sehr leid, weil wenn Sie uns das hier gesagt hätten, wäre es kein problem gewessen Ihne die diferenz zurUck zu zahlen von Halbpension zur Übernachtung und Sie hätten konenn wo anders wesser essen. Het personeel is fantastisch! Heel gastvriendelijk en gastvrij. De kamers en het ontbijt zijn basic. Het enige grote nadeel vond ik dat de kamers mega gehorig zijn, ik heb geen nacht doorgeslapen en niet alle kamers hebben een balkon.
