We are on a hotel hiking vacation on the Costa Brava. This leg was from Sant Feliu de Guixol and was 8 km. This hotel was a great destination after 4 hours on the Cami de Ronda(with a 1/2 time break at a beach view bar in S’Agaro). The hotel is aging but very carefully maintained. The pool bar was all we needed to a reasonably priced dinner or beer and ribs. So good and so filling. The service here is fabulous: I mentioned on checkin that it was the day after my wife’s 65th birthday and the hotel brought a mini fridge and drinks to us gratis.

Spacious hotel with a great pool and on a beautiful beach. We had a room on the fourth floor and had the prettiest views. It’s next to a main road full of restaurants and shopping. Overall a great location.

Overall a great stay. I was asked a check in to email the the proof of payment from Expedia as they couldn’t tell if paid. Not the standard I expect really. Workmen carrying out tile repairs through the day around the pool. Pool bar wasn’t open yet so had to go to the inside bar. Bar staff very nice and same with the restaurant staff. Lovely place and good location. Road works in town but as we didn’t use the car much it didn’t really matter.

Rooms are very dated so for that it’s over priced.
The hotel staff were excellent. The pool was great and the prices at the pool side bar very reasonable. The view from the pool and the sea view room is also very nice. The condition of the rooms was not good. tiles from the floor were breaking and it wasn’t very clean. On that basis it’s a little over priced. At a more affordable rate it would be a good hotel and the location is good too.

The staff was rude , not friendly . The room awful , the cleanliness not as good as should be . It a ONE STAR hotel . You should check this hotel , it is not near to two stars. I left my shirts and called and they refuse to help me , it is a pain !!!

3 star - not that great certainly not a 4/5 star
Good Helpful staff at reception, bar and dinning Kids club and Mini disco good with Monica Bad Cocktails needed extra money for all inclusive - AI drinks very very very basic Very poor vegetarian food and everything was very very repetitive had to go out and buy food one of the days even though we were AI (all inclusive) Flies all over and on the food in the snacks bar The menu was set hence nothing could be done for vegetarian guests The dinning area drinks machine was not working and even after reporting it - it didnt give the same output as the bar machine. The hotel itself is a bit outdated and needs upgrading however room comfort wasn't compromised. Nothing to do with hotel but the beach isnt sandy.

We had a good time at this hotel although the price we've paid doesn't correlate with the quality of the hotel. The food was quite bland though there was plenty and even though we never went to bed hungry, we ended up visiting a local restaurant during our last 2 evenings. The rooms are quite basic but we didn't spend much time in there anyways. The rooms weren't really cleaned every day besides getting new bottles of shampoo (we had about 20 bottles by the end of our stay, not even exaggerating) and fresh towels, this bothered me a bit. Clearly the price we've paid was for the pool area and beach access: we were literally steps away from the waves, which was quite amazing and the pool was also kept very nice and tidy. As said above, we had a nice trip because we've read previous reviews and we knew what to expect but I would recommend to look elsewhere if you're picky about your room and food.

Team did their utmost to help us with various needs, and the hotel is very beautifully situated in a small(ish) secluded beach. Only quibble is the hotel room is a bit old. Kept very clean, but could use some revamping.

A very aggressive man at reception thought by shouting at people he would get his way. Fortunately the following morning a very helpful gentleman assisted us. We hope never to meet the first person again. Expedia booked us into a treble room and we could not get it changed to a double. We were charged treble rate even though we were only 2. Instead of paying for 2 people we had to pay for 3on a part board basis. Also a 4star hotel should have WI FI free in the hotel in this age. Also 15 euro a day for parking is totally exorbitant.

Considering the price we paid it was good, with amazing sea views and location. It’s more 3 star than 4 star and I’d definitely recommend ear plugs as the walls are thin and the corridors are tiles. Food is fine but is very mass catering and not exactly romantic dining experience but we knew that before we went. All together it was very good for the price but don’t go there expecting 4 star luxury

Pros: - Fantastic location - outdoor bar terrace adjoined to the pool (which also has plenty of shade) and is directly connected to the beach for some great snorkelling, mind the rocks! - Reception staff were excellent, more than happy to help and go the extra distance. We had a wheelchair and we really appreciate that they managed to make life easier for us despite being almost full - Lots of flexible food options to choose from depending on how often you wanted to eat / eat out - Would probably go half board next time, there's plenty of food and I eat a lot! - The food is well organised and the staff very efficient considering how many people they accommodate - Room and bathroom were clean and the housekeeping staff were great - Excellent value for money all round Cons: - Really missed having a kettle or at least a coffee machine - A fridge would also have been useful - WiFi is €10 per day - The room is quite sparsely decorated, 4* is generous in this respect - The quality of the food wasn't 4* either, passable though if you're not fussy Other tips: - Hotel is parking is €15 per night, but free parking is easy to come by across the street - We went with full board instead of all inclusive as the drinks prices were very reasonable - Lots of nice shops and restaurants within walking distance - Other guests were mainly coach trips from France, reception could get very busy at times - Would be happy to stay again

Definitely not a 4* hotel.
This hotel may have been a 4* in the 80's but not now. Just a very tired and worn out hotel. Very disappointing is you have to pay for a fridge, no coffee/tea making facilities, wi-fi is not free and if you want the use of your room safe it is 38 euros for the week (10 returned as a deposit). Towels in the room are not bath towels, the double bed is tiny and the noise in the morning from trolleys and other residents in the corridors, well forget a lie in after 8.30am. The location is ok for shops and restaurants with a great beach a few steps away and a decent pool. Drinks are expensive. When we were there other guests mainly french, spanish, russian didnt mind that but if you are into hotel entertainment (we are not) forget it unless you find spanish line dancing funny. Overall its ok but wouldnt go back far better hotels/facilities for the price. (Sept 2017)

Not a bad hotel and perfectly on beach and near town , prom and restaurants. Only went b and b and glad didn't go all inclusive as ques to get in restaurant ridiculously long. Was full on last day of our stay as Spanish school hols began. It was bedlam there after and glad we were leaving. Great hotel but avoid French and Spanish school hols! They charge 15euros a day to park but don't need to pay as all theyvdonis put a piece of paper under wiper askin you to go to reception and pay. Cudv saved myself 60 euros if id have known.

This Hotel (an I use the term loosely)
If they have heard of the word SERVICE, they have never looked up the meaning. All they seam to be interested in, is cleaning up - sometime before you've finished. This hotel is all about show and has no substance behind it. The restaurant is not in my opinion a restaurant, mealy a feeding station. Were the food is edible and that is all you can say about it.

good stay, all inclusive drinks had some restrictions, but was fine. WIFI ((EURO 20 for 7 days) and Car parking (EURO 50 for 7 days) had to be paid for in addition. Rooms were sensible size, but apart from a double bed, 2 night desks and a TV there was not much furniture. OK if you spend your time outside the room or in bed. good price and value for money. would go again, factoring in the cost for car park and wifi

Busy place in excellent location.
This hotel is value for money . It was our second stay there and we still enjoyed it . The rooms are dated but clean. The staff is amazing , friendly super busy but always smiling . Can't fault the food , tasty and fresh. The restaurant is a dining room really rather than a restaurant but pleasant enough to eat in peace. If you looking for a hotel with beautiful location this is the place.

On arrival, was ignored by hotel staff for at least 5 minutes, while a conversation was conducted between colleagues. Hotel very basic and could do with some upgrading. A lot of plastic furniture. Bedcovers were stained and outdated. Walls in room would have been better in a neutral colour, rather than the bright yellow that it was.

Booked this hotel through expedia for a very good price. Food on the first night was borderline.. But for the next five nights we certainly enjoyed it. We went half board as we are not drinkers. All inclusive ties you to the hotel all day I feel. Late October wasn't too busy at all, but in August might me different. I would go back in late October certainly. Room my family of four had was fine.

Fantastic location but tired hotel
We were there for 3 days, two large families. The location is superb, it does not get better, but the hotel is not in good condition, it is old and needs maintenance. The breakfast was terrible, a lot of people , bad coffee, bad food! it is like being in a train station. Price is not cheap either . Had problem with my Hotels.com reservation , booked a room for 3 but when we arrived they said we have room for 2, but the people were nice and they fixed it. I would go back strictly for the location!

The hotel is not good value for money and the star rating should be 1. The staff at reception and dining hall are rude and unhelpful. Food at dinner was limited with a small choice of dishes (NOT worh the 12 Euros I paid). My room was tiny and there was no fridge as advertised. There was a broken socket right next to my bed lamp. The hotel looks a bit rundown and needs a good tidy up. The only good thing about it is that it's right on the beach and sea. However, there are several other hotels in the area which are also on the beach!

Time warp! 1970s Spanish Hotel, which has not kept pace with hotel improvements in other countries. We were there on a B&B - but majority on all-inclusive. The whole place was about crowd control (not enough so big queues) and quantity all the way. We would have preferred to go hungry than eat in the canteen. That was what it was. It was like being back at school, with people eating huge quantities of food at record speed. Everything was tired, bargain basement.. The front of the hotel is a large haphazard car park - including the tennis courts. The rooms very basic but with NO CHARM. I SPENT THE ABSOLUTE MINIMUM TIME IN THE HOTEL. To be fair, we picked this hotel for two things. One, its location (which is great) and the air on. This was a joke. It was an on/off button which timed out sometime during the night. The beach was great - a little cove. Generally facilities were no match for number of clients. One small bar in the evening with two slow staff serving. We had to queue with the all inclusives and then had to pay for the privilege!

Would go back again
my second visit to this hotel in less than one year. Views, pool, coves resort are all fantastic. The hotel could do with updating and this time round our beds were uncomfortable, but clean. Still though we would go back, because the main staff i.e. at the bar and in particular in the restaurant, were extremely pleasant, especially with our grandchildren. Food and drinks are plentiful. Entertainment is only poor. The children have a half hour disco after that it suits more the elderly, ie old time dancing or line dancing. However everyone appeared to enjoy it. As for me and my husband, we like walking out after the evening meal, and its a lovely place with plenty of shops (not tacky ones) and you don't get hassled to buy. There is a kids club, but again, our children aged 5 and 8 liked the independence of attending, although what I saw appeared only average. The young staff though were very friendly and lovely with the kids. I would still go back ,but would hope they change the beds!

Good hotel, big rooms, I belive that is bild like 5 star hotel, but buy the time he lost quality. Position is great, great for fammily. Food is super, rooms clean, stuf nice...I do not like that in all inclusive we do not get free internet.
