I travelled to take part in Ironman Barcelona. This place is in a perfect location, start line is almost just across the road. Rooms are spacious and bright. Staff are very friendly. And the roof terrace is a nice place to chill by the pool.

Good location. Clean but a bit tired in rooms. Only ever 1 person on reception. Free parking on the beach. Good deals on umbrellas and drinks at beach bar through hotel reception.

The location was perfect for the beach, shopping and train station, although the trains passed in front of the hotel and were noisy. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. The bedroom was basic and the bathroom was a little dated but it was clean and comfortable. Would recommend for a budget hotel.

Lovely Hotel
This hotel is lovely! it is just off the beach and ideal for the old town with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. It is a short 3/4 minute walk to the railway station that is just down the road where we took the train for a day in Barcelona. From the minute we arrived we were very well looked after by the staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. We opted for the all inclusive option with the intention of eating out in town some nights but this never happened!. Our room was cleaned daily. The rooftop swimming pool was fab - although for myself it would have been nice to have some sunshades up there. The bar area was lovely with a courtyard which was very pleasant. Myself and friend would recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay.

Girls trip
Went here with my best friend for a girls trip, it was amazing. On the weekend they have street parties and beach parties. Clubs open late, around 1. Would defo go again

Staff are exceptional polite willing to help with anything. Reception and red haired lady front of house in dining room and bar outstanding. Rooms are small. We had a silver double sea view on first floor sea was partially hidden by trees therefore a higher room is probably better for sea views. Small pool on roof lovely views. Train track is right outside hotel if you are a light sleeper ask for a back room they did keep me awake. Food was ok

Getting better as I stay more
This is the second review after a longer stay... By now, I have come to appreciate the food more, after trying the dinner a few times. Varied and yummy, both healthy and only tasty options. The people working here are awesome, so treat them well. Very accommodating, helpful, and always smiling. There is something happening every night, from live music, bingo, dance lessons, darts, and flamingo dancers. The thin walls remain a problem, at least for the room I had. The cleaning crew does an awesome job and leaves the room spotless. What about a power outlet close to the desk? Wifi and A/C in the room work great. No A/C in the lobby and bar areas, so evenings are pleasant when hot outside.

A nice hotel that also tries to be or is a resort. The people here are very nice and helpful, starting with William at the front desk, the bartenders who will accommodate any crazy custom coffee demands, and the pretty Russian girls sometimes helping at the restaurant. At check-in, be aware there is no parking right in front of the hotel and don't get confused. Plan this part of your approach ahead of time, knowing there is enough free parking across, between the train tracks and the beach. It may be challenging during a nice beach day, but you will find something sooner or later. The rooms are very simple but clean. One problem I have is with the very thin walls. I had 2-3 nights ruined because of noises from neighbors on either side. I did not feel comfortable complaining, since they were not rowdy but simply talking or doing other normal stuff ;). The problem is with the walls. On the 6th floor, another source of noise during the day is the continuous dragging of chairs and stumping on the roof, where the swimming pool is. Still, why would you stay in your room during the day, anyway!? Breakfast was included for me and I see there is an all-inclusive option. If you want access to the extra lunch or dinner buffet, it's 10 EUR each. The food is acceptable, but not always great options. I recommend this place. The beach is quite large and the water clean. Friendly people everywhere and easy to walk around the small town.

Great location by the Beach
The hotel is in a cute small beach town. Nice change of pace from the city. Good location across from the beach and short walk to the main road for shopping and eating. Staff was nice, food was ok. Decent hotel for the price. Walk to the train to go into Barcelona.

Fine hotel with great service! - Very much worth the price! we only had breakfast at the hotel, it was okay. only bad thing is the train running just in front of the Hotel, the room shaked a little and the train howls OFTEN and also in the nights - after I got some hearingprotection it wasn't a problem at all. Location, VERY close to the beach and close to the citycentral, besides the train there was no noise. I stayed there for the Ironman 70.3 and it was very good!

Good value for money, but beware of the train line
The hotel is ideally situated on the sea-front with easy access to the sandy beaches. The only problem is the main Barcelona to Blanes suburban train line runs directly in front of hotel, so you will hear the frequent sound of trains from all sea-view rooms. It is not obvious from the hotel pictures that this is the case, but take a look at Google StreetView. Having got over the shock of the train line, I must admit that the hotel itself is excellent value for money. The staff are friendly & helpful and the buffet breakfast was really good too

Makes the Most of What It Has
The hotel's location, room, and staff were all first rate. The only negative comment I have to make concerns the food. We were on a half board plan. The eating area is small and sometimes can not accommodate everyone wanting to eat resulting in a wait. As the eating area is small, the selection is also limited with some choices misidentified. Dinner was usually satisifactory but breakfast was a real disappointment. The choice of eggs was limited to one type, many times which were just hard boiled. Bottom line is that I would happily return but would take my meals elsewhere.

Yksi yö hotellilla ennen lentoa. Lyhyt matka terminaaliin. Huone siisti ja puhdas! Palvelu myös. Pettymyksenä oli, ettei spa eikä kuntosali olleet käytössä :( Bussilla pääsi Gironan keskustaan kätevästi.

Gerne wieder!!
wirklich ein nettes Hotel, Essen gut, Pool auf dem Dach ist mega!! Das einzige war, dass wir ein Zimmer nach vorne im ersten Stock hatten, hier fährt die Bahn direkt vorbei, was ziemlich laut war, also unbedingt ein Zimmer nach hinten nehmen!! Ansonsten top Preis - Leistungsverhältnis!!

Tranquilo, no había niños,buffet desayuno MUY completo,calidad aceptable. Sólo eché de menos algo más de fruta fresca. Pero genial igualmente Habitaciones amplias,la mía con vistas en diagonal al mar,con balconcito. Se ve un poco anticuado, lo digo para los más exquisitos,yo estuve muy bien. Sólo falta nevera en la habitación,y cabe perfectamente...... Piscina muy bien, excepto pq no hay ni un lugar con sombra, en julio- agosto... Es la segunda vez que estoy en este hotel y volvería.

La struttura è in una posizione strategica, fronte mare, a pochi passi dalla stazione e dal centro. Ottimo rapporto prezzo/qualità. Per un soggiorno a Calella la consiglio vivamente.

Heel erg fijn hotel. Niet in het meest toeristische deel van Calella en er waren niet ontzettend veel Nederlanders. Je kunt bij de receptie strandlakens en parasols lenen, echt top! Het strand is dichtbij en het treinstation is 5 minuten lopen. Hier vandaan kun je voor 11 euro naar het centrum van Barcelona. De bus (Sagales) vanaf het vliegveld naar Calella kost 10.25 per keer. We hadden halfpension en waren erg benieuwd naar het eten. Het buffet bestaat uit pasta, pizza, diverse salades, aardappelgerechten, en versgebakken vlees en vis. Wat er precies ligt wisselt per dag, hierdoor is het erg afwisselend. Het is ons erg goed bevallen. Wel zijn sommige gerechten beter dan andere en is het vlees soms wat droog. Ook zat er geen drinken bij in, maar voor €2.50 krijg je een liter water. Helemaal prima dus. Ook leuk om te merken dat het hotel erg bezig is met duurzaamheid. Overgebleven croissantjes van het ontbijt belanden bijvoorbeeld niet in de prullenbak maar liggen gevuld met slagroom op het dessert buffet. Ook zijn we bij Marineland geweest. Dit was ook een aanrader, wachtrijen van max 20 minuten. Al met al een prima uitvalsbasis voor een leuke vakantie!
