We had a sea view room. The rooms are large and comfortable, with a good size balcony. the centre and restaurants are about half an hour's walk away so you would probably need to rent a car. There are good restaurants in the hotel, but prices are about double those of the ones in town.
Good size rooms and bathrooms, nice buffet breakfast. Only down side was that room we booked was without free internet (free internet was only available in the reception and pool area). These days you would expect free wifi in guest rooms as well..
The hotel was in a good location - about 20 minutes walk into town or 3 euros in a taxi. There was a bus to the beach (although the beach and dunes were also very close). When we stayed the gym wasn't open and the water in the jacuzzi (outdoors) was freezing cold. Rooms and hotel were well maintained and guests were mainly 45 years and older so nice and quiet rather than a party hotel.
Had a large 3 bedroom villa for the 2 of us. Comfortable and well equipped. Seating area and small pool outside, all very clean and nicely finished. Could hear neighbours through the walls but didnt really disturb us as the whole place was very quiet at night. Wifi was 15 euros a week and was terrible, could hardly pick up a signal in the villa, otherwise everything was ok. Supermarket 10 min walk away. We had a hire car which i think is essential. Small bar on site which we didnt use. The guy on the front desk was friendly and very helpful.
The biggest tourist resort on Fuerteventura, Corralejo is split into old and new. The old part by the port is a tiny warren of narrow whitewashed alleyways leading, sooner or later, to “Music Square” – the centre of nocturnal activities. The new part comprises low-rise hotels and apartments. Kite surfers perform eye-catching turns on the water at the fabulous broad white-sand beach, backed by a pristine protected expanse of rolling dunes.
