Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs. When booking with VRBO, the full rental price is transacted by your bank, but AvantStay does not accept the payment from VRBO. You then get txt messages asking you to pay again. This process is very unclear upfront, almost seems like a scam. Had to go thru the process of having funds released from the bank, etc etc etc. While no fault of the owners, don’t expect to enjoy evenings on the patio. The rotting sea grass is unbearable, at least during the summer months. Everything about the house is great except the master bed and pillows. It’s well furnished, towels, and amenities were great.The last thing was the trickery with the listing photos. While yes, you are ‘waterfront’ don’t expect to access the water. There is rubble, trash, and a fence. It’s not accessible. Then again with the smell associated with the rotting sea grass, wouldn’t want to access the water regardless.
