Restaurant has somewhat changed in that there were, oddly, no side plates put out most evenings or at breakfast; the many new staff have yet to be fully trained inwaiting and bar, although most needs are eventually met, if after a little extra time and explanation.

Cornwall is a stunning county, packed from coast to coast with breath-taking scenery and picturesque towns. But it's also a thriving business centre full of innovative companies and high-tech industry. Whether you're a local professional making a stopover for the night, or a travelling group of professionals attending a corporate event, you'll be glad to learn that there's no shortage of excellent business hotels in Cornwall.
All professionals know the importance of 'location, location, location' when it comes to organising a business meeting in a Cornish hotel, and Newquay's Fistral Beach Hotel and Spa couldn't be any more convenient. Located just a few minutes' walk from the centre of town and the train station, the hotel also boasts incredible views out across the Atlantic Ocean.
Business facilities at the Fistral Beach Hotel and Spa include a banqueting space and a variety of conference spaces, from theatre style rooms to seminar spaces. A projector, flip chart and high-speed Wi-Fi are all included. For those looking to unwind after a tough day, there's an indoor pool and variety of spa treatments available.
Conference facilities are important, but sometimes the success of a business trip can actually hinge on the more social elements of your stay. The Trethorne Hotel and Golf Club takes this into account, providing the chance for professionals to discuss important matters while traversing this exceptional course.
For good measure, the hotel also boasts fast WiFi, an electronic screen, air-conditioning and a sizeable conferencing space. The Launceston location, just off the A30, makes it a convenient spot for leisure visitors as well.
If you've travelled to Cornwall from elsewhere in the country, you'd be forgiven for looking to extend your stay with the hope of soaking up some of the county's famed tranquillity. Spa hotels can help professionals do exactly that.
The Cornwall Hotel Spa and Estate is located just outside of St. Austell, offering a balance between convenient transport links and proximity to some of the county's most picturesque and peaceful locations. On-site there's a host of spa services and fitness facilities, as well as a fully-equipped conference and business centre. An indoor pool and tennis court complete the package.
