"Great for the stay we did have to get our own pillows the ones provided were too big so we bought our own but it was clean and convenient perfect for our stay . It would be nice if there were a few shelves above the toilet since the counter space is small just a suggestion:) "

No major frills & a little dated in decor, but our room was clean & smelled wonderful, like lavender - the whole hotel was very clean, continental breakfast was amazing and the on-site hot tub was giant, very hot and relaxing after a day of hiking in the snow. "Our stay was disappointing to say the least. The hosts will make excuses and claims, but please only rent this property if you have a 4-wheel-drive vehicle, and DO NOT trust their claim that it is a 20-minute drive to Picture Rocks. Also, the Hot tub was broken, and though the host did have someone come out to look at the hot tub so we could use it twice during our stay, it still had a leak, and reading previous reviews, it sounds like the hot tub has been an issue for previous guests. To the host's credit, they did offer a refund, but when they asked us what we thought was fair and we cited multiple concerns, instead of humility and accountability, they attempted to argue with us and justify a lower refund. We accepted their refund amount, which was somewhat fair. But given the rough road, we could only leave the property once during our stay, and with the weather being a factor, the drive was one of the most terrifying drives of our lives. The road did severely limiting our trip's goals. The host will claim they gave us a warning about the road, which they did, but they also gave us updates that it was okay for travel with "only a few ruts." This was a severe delay, and the road was multiple miles long, which was not disclosed. Other downsides: a bathtub without a stopper (so no bathtub), dirty dishes upon arrival, a sink with a constant drip unless you placed the handle just right, the large right burner on the stove did not work, and no salt & pepper."

"Overall a great stay! We stayed during the record blizzard a week ago. We were due to check out on Monday and after packing up our stuff and trying to head out for a snowmobile ride it was clear we weren’t going anywhere! A quick call to the front desk and I was met with nothing but friendly helpfulness!!! All guests were already assumed to be staying and not checking out. The answer to my second question came as a pleasant surprise, “is by chance the restaurant open?” It was!!!! We trekked our way across the snow filled parking lot to get some lunch. Another surprise! “Come on in, what would you like to drink? We’ve got food for everyone. We are all in the same boat, might as well make the best of it.” Not only were we able to stay in our room, they were providing us with food and non-alcoholic drinks!!! And let me tell you, this wasn’t just let’s see what we can find food, it was a delicious spread!!!! Dinner was another, all different than lunch, delicious spread!!! Breakfast the next morning was more than the normal provided breakfast. We were able to dig out on Tuesday with the help of plow trucks and a group digging effort from several hotel guests working together. Are there some things about the rooms that are a bit dated? Yes. Was the wall heating/cooling unit a bit loud? yes. Was my room clean? YES! Was the bed comfortable? YES! The best part of our stay though was the exceptionally friendly, caring, helpful staff! We will stay again 😊"
