We were visiting Copenhagen for a family 80th birthday party which included a birthday dinner at the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and attentive from the start. We had booked for three nights and were very pleased with the room which was specifically at the back of the hotel and away from a large Christmas work dinner and party on the first night. We heard nothing and had our first relaxing night. The bed was very comfortable and the room and facilities clean and in good order.
The birthday party dinner the second night was excellent. The food was delicious, the service again very friendly and attentive and the organization flawless.
Our final night was again comfortable and relaxing even though a storm blew through Copenhagen disrupting transport and doing some damage. We heard nothing.
This hotel was not extremely expensive but their service was outstanding and all the employees friendly and considerate, from the receptionist to the waitresses. Even the room cleaners smiled. This results in a very warm atmosphere and very efficiently run hotel.
My wife and I found this hotel suited our needs in a peaceful setting still in easy reach of Denmark's capital city. Once we got the hang of the bus service to and from the station at Holte we were able to travel easily to the places we needed to visit and to take part in the events that we had been invited to by our friends. However if we use this hotel again we will probably hire a car. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and the restaurant produced good quality meals at reasonable cost.
We were pleased with the value for money provided by this hotel and would definitely use it again if we are visiting Copenhagen. Our room was simply furnished but offered very comfortable accommodation. Our room rate included breakfast which was of a veritable feast with a great variety of cereals, fruit, bread, baked goods, meats and cheese. Public areas were very comfortably furnished and there was unlimited coffee and tea available in the television area.
Listed as a luxury hotel, which it may be by Danish standards. Luckily, we had upgrade to junior suite with balcony, sofa and en-suite. If we had a standard room, it would have been far too small.
Breakfast adequate, all cooked well and it has a restaurant, pub and takeaway attached (which we didnt use) which were busy all the time. Seems popular for business users, and functions. We had to listen to music blaring from a wedding downstairs until 3am, when I complained. The hotel discounted our bill for the one nights disturbance, which was kind, but felt we should have been made aware when we booked, as with the charge of 4% for using a foreign credit card. None of this is mentioned by Expedia either.
