This is a Hotel has a great location right downtown next to shopping and dining but there’s nowhere to pull up to take out your bags and there is no where to park to go to public parking a few blocks away. The hotel staff were unusually rude and awful. The hotel boost to have a blackout curtain, but it was a half a curtain in the middle of a window where the light shines through all night long. The beds were horrible. They were foam mattresses it sunk right down to the bottom when you laid in them, horribly uncomfortable was a very difficult night for all of us. We had paid for a two night stay and had to leave the very next morning. The breakfast there was not very good. Coffee came from a machine where they poured powder into it. The eggs were probably powdered as well. They had some cheeses some choices, but none of it was what we were used to specially for the price we paid for the room Won’t be going back there for any reason.

Great stay, just had one issue with parking our large minivan -- nothing to do with the hotel, but worth considering for groups / families. Parkplace just outside town (walkable) was perfect in the end.

This property is extremely Well situated in the heart center of the city which makes life much easier. Buses are found nearby as well as the train station, a mall, restaurants. I was feeling great about that. Very clean hotel.

Location was amazing, clean but nothing special, felt like a hostel than a hotel. hot stuffy room, had a fan but not great, noisy, but it’s central. Cleaners left bed sheets piled up near our door during the night. while cleaning during the day, it was all very messy from the cleaners cleaning, hence hostel feel. Regarding coffee during breakfast. Could be a good idea to put a sign saying you can’t use it. Over all, it was a nice stay only as it’s central

We booked only 1 night in a family room. It's rather small once the sleeper couch is extended but was absolutely fine for us for the night. The hotel is very well located in the old town and shopping. It doesn't have a restaurant but that's not an issue as there as many options close by. They offered a nice breakfast but the service was slow but I believe this is due to them not offering a buffet due to the Covid-19 situation, so everything was brought out by staff. Our room was right on the road but didn't hear anything at night. overall it was suited us fine.

It was ok. We stayed on the 4th floor and it was extremely hot. There is a window but no air circulation. It was very hard to sleep. The mini refrigerator blew hot air but didn't keep anything cold.

Good find
Very convenient location ,close to lake,train station,supermarket and numerous restaurants .Excellent breakfast with limited hot food ,bacon ,sausages scrambled and boiled eggs but plenty of cold meats ,cheese,bread and pastries etc.Very pleasant staff all with excellent english and all super helpful .No aircon so can get a bit warm in some rooms but overall, good value for money ..We will return .

We stopped for two nights at the end of June and the hotel itself was nice and in a great location. Our only complaint is that the room was extremely hot! The rest of the hotel was air-conditioned so I guess it was a special circumstance (the room next door was under repair). All in all, if the room temperature had been lower, we would have had nothing bad to say about this place.

Small but clean and great location
Two adults and our teenage kids stayed for one night while sightseeing the area. Very small bathroom, but clean and functional. Room was decent size, it held four single beds a small desk/chair combo and a wall unit and there was room for nothing else. Pretty much as soon as the door opened, you see the beds and we were basically sleeping head to toe with that setup. The good is that the room was clean and other than being very small, there were no issues. Breakfast was typical German lunchmeats and cheeses with bread, but quality was good. Location is perfect for shopping and exploring the town and the ladies working there were very friendly and professional. Would likely not stay there again for the price vs. size value.

Very nice stay. Central to walk everywhere in Konstanz & very close to station and across road from the Lago shopping mall. Only disappointment was Breakfast only served from 7am in the morning which is not suitable for my business travelers needing to catch the 7:03 express train to Frauenfeld.

Arrived around nine at night. Entrance to hotel locked. Automated entry with reservation number. I only had my confirmation number and no phone service. Another guest returning to hotel made a phone call to contact number on sign. A little frustrating

Very nice hotel
I had a little difficulty checking in because no one was at the front desk. But once I saw the manager, the hotel tried to assign me the best room available and gave me a lot of choice showing me around. The hotel is part of the beauty of Konstanz, part of the fairy tale. You will like the room, service, breakfast and the wonderful staff. When you check in, you can go in without a card during the day. Just go to the 2nd floor to the dining area and you can see the manager. Maybe the hotel can have a phone on the front desk for the guests to check in?

Superb staff and accommodation
We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice with fresh buns and croissants. Nice selection of meats, fruits and cereals. The location was perfect. Right in the centre of everything.

There is no one at the reception after 8 pm. Which is rather uncomfortable as the booking code from hotels.com wasn't accepted at the automated check-in machine at the entrance. The room was nice and big - especially compared to my colleagues who booked the same room type. They have a really nice breakfast room. Breakfast itself was also good.

A puzzle to solve
Hotel is close to the train station, but only has a doorway on the ground floor. There was a screen to punch in your reservation number, but the one I had didn't work. Someone let us in the door. There was a desk with no one there and a sign that said the desk was on the 2nd floor. Went to the 2nd floor and the desk was not by the elevator. Found it after searching. The floors are not level so you have to drag your luggage up and down steps . The breakfast buffet is split into 2 rooms so it was hard to find the food

Nice hotel...but don't go there in hot weather!
Pros: Hotel is clean, modern and in a good location. Cons: 24hr check-in machine outside doesn't recognise when a booking is pre-paid and will ask for your credit card, staff are slow to process check outs during busy times (i.e. no express checkout available), some rooms do not have air conditioning or fans in the room which I think is very poor for an area where it can reach 30 degrees plus.
