The gym equipment was very old & rusted. We had a sea view suite. Although spacious, the furniture was cheap & plain. Not even any pictures on the wall. When we asked for extra towels, housekeeping informed us we were only allowed 2! When we requested an iron & ironing board, the one we received was broken. A disappointing stay for someone who is Maltese!

Great place & staff
Really lovely room and view. Great that the sun didn’t come into the room due to the way it’s been built. Staff throughout the complexed were lovely and couldn’t do enough. The spa is also lovely. Thank you dolmen for making my stay perfect and much improved compared to my previous hotel!

The property is not really a 4 star.I would put it down to the higher end of 3 star. The property has this private beach area called Amazona.The hotel residents can use the sunbeds free but have to pay €40 for the Balinese beds which is daylight robbery given youhave already paid to stay at the hotel to use their facilities.This is not clear on their website. The bathrobes are on request but also charged at €5 per robe for duration of stay to cover cleaning costs!!!!what is the difference between washing towels and robes!!!everything is extra!!! Extra!!! Not good for a 4 star hotel.

Ok but could be way better
Overall a great stay, a couple of annoying things. The faff with collecting beach towels from the spa (which is basically underground) rather than at the pool areas and the fact that they are the smallest beach towels I have ever seen (10 euro deposit per towel too). You have to request the safe key for your room at reception (again a deposit added to room). All inclusive did not cover all the hotel restaurants which was odd and the timings of the all inclusive bar up to 11 pm only but when requesting bottles of water to take to bed after 11 they were a bit funny about it (even though they don’t replenish water in room). The buffet was as expected - I’m not a fan and we only went to breakfast once. Cafe Delos menu is hit and miss - no salads served with any form of dressing but edible. The food was ok but not great and v limited. The pool bar and animation team were great, lots of activities and very inclusive

The Euro 10 deposit is only put in the reservation and will be only requested in case of loss of the towel or towel card. Towels can be collected at the Spa or at the big indoor pool. For the safe it is the same procedure. The Euro 10 deposit, which is put on the reservation, will be only collected in case of loss of the safe key.All- inclusive is until 11 pm. Water is not replenished, but can be taken to the room from the bars.We are sorry to hear, that our kitchen did not lift up to your expectations. Thank you for your praises for our animation team. Adequate for a week away with family. Door keys stopped working every day and some parts are in need of refurbishment but mostly, it is OK. Breakfast time is a zoo and the pool areas are congested but nothing got in the way of our holiday.

We recently came back from a week-long all inclusive break at the Dolmen Hotel. This hotel is fantastic in many different ways - food was good (we tried both the buffet restaurant and the Cafe Delos), service was helpful, hotel rooms were a good size, pools were great, and location was close to a bus station and to the beach. However, having got so many difficult things right, I would say that the Dolmen Hotel should pay attention to the little things that make a difference. This is probably more around house-keeping and maintenance - including things like there not being bathrobes and slippers waiting in our suite when we arrived (we had to request them), the toilet cistern continually filling, issues with the doors, etc. When we raised these with the hotel, they were all dealt with really quickly, so I'm not at all mentioning this to deter anyone - this is a great hotel!! But I wanted to bring the hotel's attention to this, because these are easy things to proactively deal with, to help guests feel like things are running smoothly and easily, without issues. Overall, we were impressed, and are hoping to go back next year! I highly recommend this hotel. Also, we had a family emergency whilst there and had some really great support from most of the staff (except for one Guest Relations Manager who was really not helpful at all). But a special thank you to Darren and Alex/John who really assisted us, as well as a few others (sorry, we didn't get their names!).

Hotel is really clean and well kept. Unfortunately the beds are ridiculously uncomfortable. The pool area is nice, but quite small for the amount of people staying. Breakfast was ok, again far too many people for the area though. The steak restaurant attached is very good and very reasonably priced.

Reste med 2 andra familjer. Vi tyckte alla att städningen var sådär. Skitiga gardiner och smutsigt golv, precis efter städningen. Vi bodde så vi hade en panoramabalkong, men som inte hade tillstymmelse med belysning, och bara 2st stolar med i pyttelitet bord. Väldigt trist att vi inte kunde få 2st stolar till, då vi var 4personer. Fast vi hade ändå inte kunnat sitta på balkongen och spelar kort på kvällen utan ljus… Frukosten var bra, en klassisk Engelsk frukost. Dock väldigt stimmigt och mycket slammer… Poolområdet var mycket bra, med flera pooler, och poolbar. Många solsängar, o h parasoll. Att slippa gå över en väg för att nå havet var kanon, och havsbadet var mycket bra, även utan sandstrand. Utnyttjade inte spa, gym eller inomhuspool.

Once we figured out that you didn't have to have the buffet for dinner, the dining was much better. Unfortunately it was close to the end of our stay. The staff didn't explain that part very well. We imagine they do that so that you eat at the buffet. Other than that it was an ok place to stay.

A lovely stay
This is a beautiful hotel with excellent staff and delicious food. It was very busy when we stayed but staff always friendly and provide great service. Never a problem finding sunbeds or getting served, We were all inclusive and didn’t notice any difference in being served. There is only one main self service restaurant which was always busy and some guests would barge past, not the hotel’s fault. Staff were brilliant at clearing away and re stocking food. No outside area and lots of families so could get noisy, but always possible to find a table. Cafe Delos was quieter and again served excellent food.

Property was really nice. Everything we needed to make the stay comfortable for us was done in one call from the room. Lighting in the room should be improved. We really struggled with that.
