This 1800s classic home has been updated to allow guests to enjoy historic charm with modern amenities. Watch the leaves change in the fall and the flowers bloom in the spring from the porch swing and rocking chairs. This home is just a short stroll from the inviting Columbus downtown area. Military families will love the quick and easy 15-minute drive to Fort Moore! The Space: Front Unit: This 2-bedroom/2-bathroom home is a perfect place to get away. The bedrooms are accented by gorgeous heart-pine floors and illuminated by large windows. Bedroom one has a queen bed, and bedroom two has two full beds and a trundle bed (twin with twin pullout underneath). Enjoy a movie or sporting event in the living room. The couches center around a unique fireplace that no longer works, but it adds to the historic character of this great home! Cook up any meal in the fully stocked kitchen and enjoy outside on the rocking chairs and porch swing! Back Unit: This is the back unit of a duplex; 2 bedrooms/1.5 bathrooms home sleeps 7 and is a perfect place to get away. The beautiful heart-pine floors have been refinished, the windows let in tons of light, and the beds are super comfy. The fireplaces no longer work, but they add to the historic character of this great home! Enjoy cooking in the fully stocked kitchen and gathering around the TV in the living room. Guest Access: You will have access of the full property, including two full service kitchens, 3.5 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, the front porch, a fire pit in the back, and grill. It is like your home away from home! The Neighborhood: This home is located is a wonderful part of historic downtown Columbus. It is just a brief walk to all of the best restaurants and attractions in Columbus, including the Riverwalk and theatre. It is only a short, 15 minute drive to Columbus. Getting Around: Driving is recommended and we offer parking for our guests. Uber and Lyft service the area as well! Other Things to Note: We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 25 years of age to book. If you notify us of your intent to cancel prior to the lapse of the free cancellation period, we will return 97% of your payment. The other 3% will already have been collected by the credit card processing company, and we have no way to return that portion of the payment. We sometimes rent out both the back and front separately, but this reserves the entire property. We are a pet friendly home. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. All pets require a non-refundable pet fee. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. In the event that a security deposit is collected, we will retain all or part of the security deposit to cover any costs associated with additional cleaning due to pets. ## Property amenities ### Internet - We have stayed in 4 in this area and this was by far the worst. Key pad didn’t work most of the time, way out dated, roaches, no soap, no special touches, sketchy neighbors, the sofas were gross. We had to wash some sheets and put them on them to sit down, back yard had glass all in it and was grown up. Was asked to pretty much clean the whole place for check out. You would have had to clean them to use them. The pictures do not depict the true state of the property. The property needs a lot of work. Floors are uneven, doors are cocked and needs some touch up painting. When you spend what we spent for 3 nights you just expect more. We didn’t spend one night in the property and all they would give me was half of my clean up fee. I asked what was there to clean if we didn’t stay on it. I was pretty much told that’s what was decided and they were sticking with that decision. If you don’t care about sub par standards then this is the place for you.
