Christmas Eve! Blizzard conditions outside with 30 below temperature. They knew we were coming.
We checked in at the office and received this after giving our information: Turn the heat to 74 degrees. Turn fan on medium. Leave it there for an hour. After that you can turn it up. If not, do it this way it will never get warm.
They knew that they had a problem with the heaters. They knew the weather was bad outside. For the money we spent, they couldn't even test the heater.
The room was ice cold when we entered. The room never got warm. I slept with my clothes on. Every time I sat on the toilet seat I was reminded of the times when while traveling I had to stop at the gas station to go the bathroom.
The shower was worse. Yes, there was warm water (not hot), but the bathroom was ice cold.
No carpet on the floor, so we dragged in all of the ice, snow, etc. from the outside bringing our luggage in making the room colder.
As we left, I let the front receptionist know about the heat and her comment was "If you didn't do what was on the paper then the heater will not work". First of all, on a day when it is 30 below zero (wind chill), why would I go into a freezing cold room and not put the heat on? Then she said we should have changed rooms so I told her and wait another 3/4 hours and find out there is not heat in that room also.
MERRY CHRISTMAS! THE END - 2022
