I really appreciated that they would not allow us to tip because it made the experience feel more comfortable. Tipping culture in Egypt can be crazy. Our room was very nice and having the two bedrooms was wonderful for our family."

The staff were genuinely lovely — friendly, attentive, and always happy to help with tips for exploring the area. More than anything, Sayed was incredibly welcoming and helpful - when our hot air balloon was cancelled for bad weather, he helped us plan the perfect alternative activities. "Great service, calm and very cosy, peaceful, beautiful country backyard, owner and staff will do anything to help make your stay memorable. The room is clean and equipped with all what could be needed. It is a great place to stay away from the buzz of the city and have a great feeling of the area life style from the tour of the around fields provided by the staff it the beautiful garden on site. My only complaint was road access which is not in the hands of the lodge crew but the city. I would recommend this place any day."

"We had an excellent stay at Sharqotel Luxor! The hotel is in the country side, but perfect for exploring the west bank, and is close by to restaurants and shops. Especially the beautiful Habu Tempel, don’t miss it! The room was clean, modern and had a great view! Our host, Mohammed Dahab, was very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great as well, and huge! He helped us arrange a taxi back to the hotel. Thank you for the stay!"
