This place was a short walk from the train station and right next to the concert hall where I saw my son play with the Chicago Symphony! The Köln Cathedral was also a short walk away as well as the Old City where I dined at the great Peters Brauhaus.

Everything was great! The location was really close to all kinds of bars and restaurants. It can get a little loud since it’s in the heart of the square and really close to the Cathedral. The bells sound early in the morning and you can hear a lot of the hustle and bustle of the city outside. We were expecting it and it didn’t bother us, we loved our experience and stay there

My Expedia reservation (for 2 adults and one toddler) did not reflect with the hotel system (reservation for 1 adult). We ended up in the smallest room on the floor, which wasn’t ideal for a family of 3. The hotel parking was limited and 24 euro a day. The hotel restaurant desserts (we had two) were particularly expensive, but we would not order again. The interior was nice. No significant view. Staff were friendly. The linens were fantastic—I really appreciated the heavy down comforter and quality and size of the bathroom towels. All things considered, I’d probably research a different hotel to stay in if I visited Köln again.

Beware of the premium WiFi option!
Great location. Staffs are friendly. Clean & comfortable except there is no drawer in the room. Never click on the premium WiFi, has nothing to do with the hotel. It’s provided by an external operator although it looks like it’s part of the hotel WiFi options. It’s not.

Loud music from the hotel's piped music in corridor outside our room kept us awake both nights. When I phoned reception in the night they told me they were aware of the problem but told me nothing they could do. Wine bar closed over weekend. Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and during checkin, which took over 1 hour, they couldn’t find our room, accused us of lying about our reservation, tried to get 4 people into double bed, and just got worse from there. It wasn’t until we contacted the manager that he confirmed our reservation which was paid in full. The manager was fine, everything else was terrible. The entire hotel lobby smelled of sewer as well. Wouldn’t recommend.

Great hotel to see Cologne
We love this hotel and have stayed here many times. The only issue seems to be that in the recent refit, the modernised rooms have somehow become less comfortable. Despite that, the location is great and the secure car parking works very well (and it's a treat to put your car in a lift!)

The location in Cologne is great for visitors. A short walk to the train station, next door to the museum, the symphony hall and of course the cathedral. The facility is modern and well kept. There is even a spa with sauna and steam that is included with your stay. We will return.

Great hotel and location, only part was the bathrooms which are not as private due to semi frosted glass which can disturb your partner if you put the bathroom light on. Otherwise very nice hotel and great service.

The only marginally negative comment I have is that the hotel management needs more front desk staff for check in. The people working there do the best they can but sometimes seem a bit overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of guests needing to check in.
