A stunning property, with a very attentive staff. Very quiet, carpeted rooms which look down into a historic sunlit courtyard. The breakfast was a great experience, along with their amazing Michelin star restaurant. Overall an incredible hotel experience

We stayed in the only front balcony looking out on the street and did not realize it was the number 2 attraction in Colmar (The House of Heads). It was so much fun. The bountiful breakfast was awesome both mornings also.

This property is NOT a five star hotel by any means. It’s a three star on a good day. One person working there at front desk. No valet, bell boys , concierge. The room as sub par and dangerous. Very low beams everywhere. Carpet is dirty and smelly. We stayed one night and decided to leave and they wouldn’t refund our second night. Don’t be fooled.

Hotel is located in a unique historical building. It’s centerally located in the old town. Staff was attentive and made sure we had reservations or suggestions to restaurants. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was simple and delicious, part of the room rate and the complimentary baked pastry was mmmm….😋 along with one gifted to us on departure.

Christmas Magic
My husband and I went to Colmar for the Christmas Markets for our first trip since Covid began. This hotel was perfect! The people could not have been kinder and more helpful. They even packed a magnificent breakfast for us when we had to get to the airport before the regular breakfast hours. Our street view was incredible with all the decorations twinkling (including the outside of the hotel) and the market down the street. The beds were ultra comfortable and the room very quiet even with the holiday makers below us. We can not say enough about this wonderful oasis. It was truly a magical stay. To our friends at La Maison des Tetes: Joyeuse Noel! You have certainly helped make ours a Merry Christmas season!

Perfect stay!
This was an amazing stay, the service qas impeccable, room was very cosy and had all the comforts you would expect. Beautifully done with the right mix of old and new. Parking is perfect as well of you have a full car like we did. Would recommend it to anyone passing Colmar!

We had a wonderful 3 night say. The hotel is lovely, our room was very clean, we loved having dinner in the courtyard and breakfast was wonderful. In this time of COVID I’m sure it is challenging to run a hotel/restaurant but the safety standards here were high, they are doing a great job keeping you safe yet making you feel comfortable & welcome. Our room had recently been redone and was beautiful! It was very spacious and had a gorgeous shower. People should be cautioned, however, that it is open to the room and when sharing with someone other than your partner can be uncomfortable. The staff was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and with any other questions we had. The hotel is located right in the heart of Colmar and is convenient to all. Breakfast is included with delicious pastries and breads, but no hot food is available. Wonderful stay!

A mix of antique and modern in the architecture. Very clean and uncluttered. Bathrooms were commodious and good product. Great breakfasts. An expensive place but good value overall.

Not a five star hotel
We booked this hotel mainly because it had off road parking and a great central location. The room was decorated well, if a bit small. However the air conditioning unit was very noisy and the quilt far too heavy. There were coffee making facilities but dried milk powder and one choice of coffee or tea - not good enough. The water was not replaced either. The hotel reception is only manned between 8am to 8pm but often no one at the desk. After 10pm access is through the rear car park which is crammed with double parked cars presumably to rake in 15 euros per day parking charge. Prior to 10 acess is through a courtyard crammed full of tables where one seeks to avoid hitting diners at the brassiere. Having stayed at many five star hotels over the years, this hotel has no facilities at all that would rate it five star and is very poor value for money. The main restaurant was closed both nights and there is no bar, lounge, spa, pool or excellent service. There is no porter, although the receptionist offered to help with the luggage. We had to check out the night before we left because no reception at 7 am and struggled to get our car out of the car park without hitting anything.

That’s why we think it is very important/useful to give few details to our customers: « La Maison des Tetes » is a 5 stars Hotel, indeed, disposing of 21 rooms, a local type Restaurant – called « Historical Brasserie Maison des Tetes », and a Gastronomic Restaurant « Girardin », which has just received a Michelin star. Our hotel is in absolutely conformity with the regulations of the French Hotel Rating System, which imposes a 24 Hour available Reception Desk for hotels with more than 30 rooms, although our hotel is a 21 rooms hotel. We are sorry this could not satisfy you. Reading your review we notice that you prefer writing on social network than speaking with staff members and managers.
