The issue I had is when the cleaning staff came to work in the morning, they where talking among each other very loud at 6:30 in the morning. Also, I believe they where getting there carts or something out this particular room because every few seconds they was just letting the door slam every time they exit the room. I would stay here again but not in room 312...... just give staff a friendly reminder not everyone is awake at 6:30 am. Thank You!
The hotel was clean. It needs a renovation. The staff was very nice however when we arrived (exhausted from travel) they sent us to a room that was having construction repairs next to it (at night) so they changed our room to one without 2 beds which we needed. I had to go back down AGAIN for keys for a third room. The hotel staff member did not apologize the second time. She laughed.
All the staff was extremely polite and consistently asked if there was anything more they can do for us. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The convenience of having the shuttle to bring us to the metro was fantastic. Would especially Recommend to anyone who is getting away for a weekend to catch a Redskins game in DC!
I stayed here when I checked my son into his new dorm. After the long drive I just wanted to get a good night's sleep. I was pleasantly surprised! I was in the 2nd building (there are two) and it looks to have been recently remodeled. They did a good job; very aesthetically pleasing. My room was listed on Expedia as cozy. It was smaller than your typical hotel room, but I loved it. It actually had a king sized bed and a really cool bathroom that was encased in glass. I liked how the tv was installed in the wall and also the lights that encased it. It was extremely quiet. They have a policy about loud talking after certain hours and guests seem honor the quiet request. The bed was comfy, but just a tad too firm for me (I prefer Doubletree's beds). Despite that minor complaint I still got a great night's sleep. I will definitely stay here again when I come to visit my son. It's in a great location. It was convenient to everything that do.
As its name suggests, College Park is a college town. Many locals are affiliated with the University of Maryland, a colonial, red-brick campus set amid 1,250 acres of rolling greenery. Nearby, the College Park Aviation Museum operates on the grounds where Wilbur Wright taught military aviation. The National Archives’ local research facility contains Richard Nixon’s presidential materials.
